Charlotte non disc golf recommendations

I'm currently negotiating a roadtrip to Charlotte for this weekend (fingers crossed) and would appreciate any non dg activity recommendations that are unique to the area. What did you do the last time you were in Charlotte ??? Local townie perspectives are welcome, as well.

I live in Charlotte. Carowinds is our big amusement park. We also have the NASCAR hall of fame museum. The science museum can Be surprisingly fun. We also have a LOT of PARKS. Mountain Biking is very popular here. There is also the water park, where you can paddle the man-made whitewater course.

The US National Whitewater Center is really fun.

Ok, so, the trip went pretty smoothly. I mixed in the Whitewater Center, the Charlotte meusum of history, and made a pit stop at the Schiele planetarium in Gastonia on my way out of town.
