So, are there ditches or creeks on your home course?

barranca [bəˈræŋkə]

(Earth Sciences / Physical Geography) Southwestern US a ravine or precipice
[from Spanish, of uncertain origin]

I'm from Utah, and have always pronounced it 'crick'. People make fun of me :(

We have little-to-no water hazards on our courses out here. There's one that plays over a dry ditch at Sunset, where the ditch is considered OB, but that's it.

Cricks, too! Also, streamlets and trickleways. :|

I prefer the sunny beaches in Mexico, but to answer the OPQ, no. There are a couple of culverts though, I guess, if that's what you call cement channels that run across the landscape, designed to carry water runoff to a drain ... They're not ditches or creeks ... visualthesaurus.com doesn't help here ...

I'm stumped. Guess I'll just have to cut out from work early and go chuck a few.
