Thanks in advance for the help. Just some background, I'm 6'4 207LB. I'm in good shape and I play at least once a week. I've been playing for 12 years. I should be able to throw much farther than I do. It has to be mechanical/timing.

I used to be able to throw 420 max and sat around 380. For the last 7 years, I have not been able to even break 400. Problems I typically have:

- Low release (throw into ground)
- Timing
- Disc fades out quickly
- Disc seems to just die
- Can't get the disc high enough
- Bad brace (I've had knee surgery on both knees so I'm worried about hyperextending my knee too far and hurting it again.)

The first link is a Destiny. Here is what I see I'm doing wrong:
-dropping my arm down to hyzer way too much
-bad brace
-slow arm
-bad timing (reach back at max before front foot comes down

The second link is a week later with the aforementioned observations in mind. Disc is an Enigma. Here's what I see I'm doing wrong in this one:
-bad brace
-bad timing (reach back at max before front foot comes down)
-slow arm

Obviously, I have a lot wrong here. I think I know what I'm doing wrong, I just can't get my body to do what my brain is telling it.

I would like to know two things please:

1.) What am I doing wrong? Everything please?
2.) How can I train myself to fix each wrong thing?

1. from image 1 disc def seems to low being that its around belly button height

all 4 door frame drills might help you work on that

drill below is 1st door frame drill, the other 3 should be linked as well in the preview pane

2. between images 1 and 2 you dont have any knee extension which i believe helps hold your body back. vs what we see in the video where knee has so much flexion that it cant hold the momentum back and you go way off the teepad

this thread should shed some light on what the front leg does

this drill

with this drill

should help as well

3. im learning more about this movement . but for image two your left foot when it gets off the ground doesnt swing behind your body.

note in image below how left foot when it gets off the ground gets behind the body

information on how that works in this thread

https://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137173

and this thread

from what ive gathered from my experience as im working on the legs a ton. is that when coming out of the xstep you are carrying momentum. your plant leg swings foward (as shown in double dragon drill. the feeling of this occuring should come from this drill too) that leg will pull your body and pull your left leg off the ground.

regarding timing i cant endorse the elephant walk enough.

this one starts at a certain time as to do this drill you must have a heavy item

coming out of the xstep it seems like your leaning backwards. we need to lean towards the basket.

this image really resonates with myself. just seeing this image helps my body sync up. note the far right image shows how his spine is tilted towards basket with his plant foot behind him. as his plant foot goes towards the basket the spine will tilt backwards. (this will also be felt during the double dragon drill)

Your arrow is aimed way up, so your shoulder, elbow and wrist/disc never get loaded and lagged behind each other in a more targetward direction.
