Graffiti on Hole 12 on Charlotte Courses

I have noticed on multiple courses in Charlotte, that on hole 12 some quality individual is writing a 2 in front of the 12 on the band to create a '212' on baskets. I have had to remove it 6 times now on our course at South Piedmont Community College (Dry Creek). They are persistent, I give them that. Anybody know what this is referring to? Anyone seen this on other NC courses? We are in the process of putting up video surveillance.

Yeah, 212 is the Manhattan area code, right?

Just googled:

Apparently in gang code/ling, 212 = "Blood Love." B = 2nd letter, L = 12th letter

We volunteered at a state park with DG courses. Spent too much time cleaning up Hole 4 baskets that had been converted to "420". So cool...
