If You Could Only Carry 5 Discs - Which Do you Choose and Why?

Umm... I don't think I ever posted in this thread somehow.

Solid picks- kinda looks like you did a fantasy snake draft for discs and your bag is your top pick from each manufacturer

On vacation this week and didn't have room for my full bag so I brought five discs. Didn't feel like I was really missing much.

Wizard
Zone
Buzzz
Felon
Wave

Banger GT - putter, brick-ish approach disc
Pig - OS mid/putter/brackish-roller
Buzzz - solid, has some distance and some anhyzer ability
Firebird - idk, is it windy/foresty/weird?
Destiny - Some baskets are far away

This is the first moment in our species history when the words brickish and brackish have been used in such proximity.

To look like a normal disc golfer I guess I'd do
Big Z Roach
er...KC Pro Roc since my Meteor disappeared
ESP Stalker
ESP Heat
ESP Thrasher

To look totally insane:
Fastback FB-6
15 mold Guts disc
23B mold Double Disc Court disc
100 mold Glow
82E mold U-Max HDX

  • Z Nuke - Nice overstable backhand driver when a forward penetrating ground play is needed, but it really shines as a max distance tomahawk roller when low ceilings require it.
  • Star Wraith - All around distance driver
  • KC Pro Roc - Long approach shots and ace runs.
  • Crystal Flx Zone - <275ft approaches
  • XT Bullfrog - Running it from 100ft and in

• Neutron Ion (putts, broken-in)
• Neutron Ion (drives)
• Z Sol
• Opto River
• Z Scorch

If I could only carry 5 discs, one of my discs would be a wildcard disc that says 'replace me with any disc you like'.

I used this same idea on the genie with 3 wishes. Said 'I wish for more wishes' he was like...

:hfive:

These are the 5 discs I'd pick.

Innova Star Leopard - Fairway driver

Innova Mako3 - Midrange (I think its a midrange)

Discraft Evolution Origin - Midrange

Innova War Pig - Putter

Discraft Luna - putter

-Putter: Legacy Clutch
-Putter/Approach: Innova Wysocki Pig (this is important-the Wysocki version is flatter than the R-Pro Pig and better for my forehand)
-Midrange: DGA Rift
-Fairway: Legacy Phenom
-Driver: Innova Sidewinder

Well, my go-to's have changed. Now my five must haves are:

Putter: Legacy Clutch (this is the only one that stayed the same)
Putt/Approach: DGA Breaker.
Midrange: Innova Mako3
Fairway: Innova TeeBird
Fairway: MVP Servo - for forehands

I really liked the Wysocki Pig...it was flatter than the other Innova Pigs I looked at and tried. But it was only available when Ricky toured and only in limited numbers. So, I switched to the DBA Breaker, which was very similar, but more available. Recently, the Pro Pig has gotten flatter and seems to be a duplicate of the Wysocki Pig....but I'll stick with the DGA Breaker now.

Spirit (OS Stuff and sneaky distance)
H3v2 (control driver, distance and can cover some fairway stuff)
Teebird (Stable to overstable fairway stuff)
Squall (buzzz stuff and flippy fairway stuff)
Envy (electron kinda broken in thrower/putting putter)

Hardest bit is learning to putt Envys better

Well for fun...

Ohm
Envy
Relay
Tesla
Wave

Wish I could slip a comet in but not this month. And that's actually my whole bag, with multiples.. Haha

Well these days... if it was a tourney I'd waffle between taking two Envy's.. Just in case my putting is off..

Soft electron Envy
Hex (or plasma envy)
Comet
Insanity
Fission Volt

Exo Hard Link - Putting and most approaches
Z Buzzz - no comment necessary
Luster Leopard3 - most fairway duties
Star Wraith - controlled distance
PL Hellfire - All OS duties and utility as well as sneaky distance

Bagging 3 Z Buzzz's and 3-4 Wraiths at any given time so depending on course and conditions I would choose one with the ideal stability. Also depending on course and conditions I would possibly swap the Leopard3 for an Eagle-L
.
