See below for what I'm "roc'in" with at the moment. This is what works well for me at all the wooded courses we play in CLT. Why so many Rocs??? Well, it is objectively the best disc out there... also, it is often the most useful disc to throw on the course. In Charlotte you need to be able to hit the required line off the tee to make it to the landing zone / pin. For me, I can control a Roc better than any disc to hit those lines. I throw them anywhere between 175' - 300' (hyzers, hyzer-flip, annies, etc.). Regardless, I do carry more than I need. I recently replaced my Teebirds with Leopards. I've loved this switch, as my Teebirds were not the flippy fairway I needed.

I'll come back to update this list as things come in and out. This thread may be more a journal for myself. Lol. Comments, criticisms, short-stories are all welcome.

Putters:
1. KC Aviar, 175g, very worn (12x, my main putting putter)

4. KC Roc, 180g, mild wear (#3, 12x, S)
5. KC Roc, 176g, worn (#4, 12x, my go-to)
6. KC Roc, 180g, worn (#5, 12, US - flippy)
7. Champ Roc3, 177g, worn (S - when I want to power-up on a midrange)

Distance:
1. Star Wraith, 171g, newish (OS - just don't throw it often)

Total discs = 23
(I usually carry between 20 - 24 discs. I like to carry multiples during casual/practice rounds so I can get multiple reps in)

I threw with the "reduced" bag this weekend (see above post). I liked it a lot - mostly because I could focus on the most important parts of my bag without a needy feeling to throw unnecessary shots. I can already see some wear on the new DX plastic discs. Hopefully the Cobra will turn into a super flippy disc soon! I'm going to keep this disc set-up for a while.

As I look forward into the fall, I am considering replacing some discs in my bag to keep the base plastic in a warm, safe place. This is a rough draft for Winter 2020/21...

Putters:
1. KC Aviar, 175g, very worn (12x, main putting putter)
2. KC Aviar, 172g, newish (12x, straight as an arrow up to 200')
3. DX A&A Aviar, 175g, mild wear (S, blue stock stamp)
4. Pro Pig, 175g, mild wear (OS - also good for FH rollers)
5. Pro Aviar, 175g, mild wear (S, Conrad stamp)

Midranges:
1. Star Rancho Roc, 175g, mild wear (#1, OS)
2. DX Roc, 178g, new (#2, S-OS)
3. KC Roc, 178g, newish (#3, 12x, black stock stamp)
4. DX Shark, 177g, new (OS, break it in)
5. Champ Wombat3, 180g, mild wear (#5, US - flippy)
6. DX Cobra, 178g, new (US, don't care if it breaks)

Fairway:
1. Pro Leopard, 175g, new (new experiment - cycle these like Rocs???)
2. Champ Leo3, 172g, newish (S - hyzer-flips for dayzzz)
3. Glow Champ Leo3, 171g, new (US - perfect turning fairway)
4. Champ Teebird, 175g, worn (KC 12x, OS)

How does the Pro Leopard handle headwinds? I've found a couple and always throw a few shots with them before I return them. They are always more stable than I expect (and I always seem to find them short and left), but I don't think I've really dealt with wind.

I've enjoyed the Pro Leopard a lot so far, but it's only been in the bag for a few rounds. I agree with your assessment - more stable than you might expect out-of-the-box. For me, it only ends-up about 10' to 15' shorter than my Leopard3's (I'm throwing Leo's 290'-325' average). I don't mind a bit of distance lost, I just hope to beat the disc in to something very understable for RHBH turning shots in the woods. This may take awhile. For now it's a nice hyzer-flip disc with a forward finishing fade.

I don't have much experience with wind, as most of the courses I play are all in the trees.

I've been enjoying my "reduced" bag a lot. I think I can even get rid of a couple more discs. The Comet only comes out on second or third throws for practice, and I still prefer throwing my KC Aviar over the Invader (this is not to say that the Invader hasn't been great). The Invader shines when I need to throw FH out of the woods and I don't want the stability of the Pig. This is a unique shot that doesn't happen every round.

I got to throw Kilbourne this weekend. I found that I threw my "flippier" discs a lot more often. The Cobra is already beating-in nicely. It holds a turn almost for its full flight. It will stay in the bag as my very US midrange, while the KC Rocs are still beating-in.

I continue to throw the Pro Leopard; it's a great disc for my arm-speed. I don't see my fairway lineup changing anytime soon.

Putters:
1. KC Aviar, 175g, very worn (12x, my main putting putter)
2. KC Aviar, 172g, newish (12x, straight as an arrow up to 200')
3. DX A&A Aviar, 175g, worn (S to US putter)
4. Pro Pig, 175g, mild wear (OS - also good for FH rollers)
5. Luster Invader, 175g, new (Straight)

Midranges:
1. Star Rancho Roc, 175g, mild wear (#1, OS)
2. DX Roc, 178g, new (#2, trying to get back into DX???)
3. KC Roc, 178g, newish (#3, 12x, limited fade)
4. KC Roc, 176g, worn (#4, 12x, my go-to)
5. KC Roc, 180g, worn (#5, 12, US - flippy)
6. DX Cobra, 178g, new (US - will eventually be a super US disc)
7. ESP Comet, 177g, newish (kinda flippy)

Fairway:
1. Pro Leopard, 175g, new (new experiment - cycle these like Rocs???)
2. Champ Leo3, 172g, newish (S - hyzer-flips for dayzzz)
3. Glow Champ Leo3, 171g, new (US - perfect turning fairway)
4. Champ Teebird (12x), 175g, worn (KC 12x, OS)

Distance:
1. Star Wraith, 171g, newish (OS - just don't throw it often)
2. Pro Wraith, 175g, mild wear (Flippy-ish driver)

Total discs = 18

Nice looking set up.

I just picked up a dx Cobra but haven't really had a chance to throw it much. It was flippier than I anticipated. But it was a couple throws on a very windy day by WI standards.

I've had a hell of a time finding a good understable mid. I've heard good things about the Cobra so I figured I'd give it a shot. Got a star Leo3 on that order too and I'm loving it.

As a side note: I'm jealous of where you live and the great courses over there 😁

I've enjoyed the Cobra so far - I'm sure you will too. Indeed, it is flippy. That's what I wanted though: an out-of-the-box flippy mid, while my Rocs are still beating-in.

Charlotte is a great place for the sport. I can't say enough good things about the courses, but most importantly, about the community here. We are very blessed. :D

I was out at Dry Creek in Monroe, NC again this past weekend, because I'm really enjoying that course at the moment. I've been exercising my extra-reduced bag. It's nice because I only carry discs that I am familiar with. Anything else besides this is extra and is just weighing-down my bag. I'm going to take out the Champ Leo3 until my Pro Leopard beats-up a bit more (which will bring down my total discs to 15). They're stabilities are very similar right now.

I've been experimenting and expanding my bag lately. The most notable difference is the transition from KC Rocs to Champ Roc3s. I've enjoyed throwing these lately, because I feel like I can grip them better and throw them father. It might just be a mental switch. Also noteworthy is the expanded putter options. I'm trying to figure out what I prefer for upshots and drives at slow speeds.

Putters:
1. KC Aviar, 175g, very worn (12x, my main putting putter)
2. KC Aviar, 172g, newish (12x, straight as an arrow up to 200')
3. KC Aviar, 175g, new (12x, S to OS putter)
4. Pro Pig, 175g, mild wear (2019 Ricky, puddle top)
5. Pro Pig, 175g, mild wear (2019 Ricky, small dome)
6. Champ Aviar, 168g, new
7. Luster Invader, 173g, mild wear

Midranges:
1. Champ Wombat3, 175g, mild wear (Flippy and flies far)
2. Champ Roc3, 178g, worn (4x, straight flyer)
3. Champ Roc3, 178g, mild wear (1x, flippy at high speeds)
4. Champ Roc3, 178g, newish (4x, fades hard)

Fairway:
1. Champ Leo3, 172g, newish (S - hyzer-flips for dayzzz)
2. Glow Champ Leo3, 171g, newish (US - perfect turning fairway)
3. Champ Teebird, 175g, worn (12x, OS)
4. Champ Thunderbird, 175g, mild wear (4x)
5. Champ Thunderbird, 162g, new (4x)
