Michigan Disc Golf Store Updates

It seems to me that DGCR should have a "stores" section with a search and map function, similar to the "course" functions.

Anyone been to six & park lately?

Any comments on their selection??

Just called them, the guy said he's got over 200 discs, mostly DC and Innova.

Me: Right now you do?

Guy: Yep.

I was in there about a month ago, and I'd say they probably have well over 200 discs: they're all in boxes that you need to slide out (off the shelf) in order able to see anything past the first few discs in the box .
Maybe 4-5 shelves x 4-5 boxes each = about 20 or so boxes, boxes worth of plastic (IIR: each box is about two feet deep ??), Located immediately infront of you when you walk in the store.
Quite frankly, they're a pain to hump through, and I've never seen anything out of the ordinary there.

While it is very convenient relative to Cass Benton Hills, I've never seen any organization to the discs they've had: Innova, Discraft, drivers, mids, different types of plastic, colors, weights... all thrown in the boxes rather haphazardly.

Say you know you want a 170 WhoKnowsWhat... you better have some time, 'cause it's hard to find what you're looking for. Kinda offsets the "convenience" factor IMHO.

But yeah, they've easily got over 200 discs. :\

Yep, just went there. My feet were KILLING me from squatting looking through 6 awkwardly full boxes of lots and lots of zones, ringers, impacts, gateway warlocks, aviar drivers, old weird colored surges, etc.

Discraft selection was pretty crappy. No buzzzes, Nukes, Surge SS's...
Lots of ESP Predators.

One 180 neon green yellow rancho roc and a clear 2012 Xmas Innova "TE" (was the abbreviation on the bottom)

(^just FYI)

They had the Innova disc that is sent out to retailers for Christmas front and center for 19.99 last night. I don't know what kind of disc it is, but it is clear champion plastic with a green stamp and sparkley flakes throughout the disc. I think it is a tern, as TE was written on the back. I don't keep up with all the new fangled discs.

It would be an understatement to say the organization of stock is a total mess. I asked the owner why he didn't make a better display...he did not want to cut into the space occupied by the massive and highly organized aisle of pornography.

^LMFAO! :hfive:

They do have a lot of floor space dedicated to booze & porn. Obviously, this guy knows what sells.

True, but he might sell more plastic if it were organized :|
Yeah, I thought about that. There's probably a way for him to put a decent rack in the same area. Might even be able to sell all 3 items to the same people...

This is the store South of Cass, right?
that's the one.

The one north of Cass doesn't carry much, but I haven't been in there in a quite a while.

Anyone know whats up with Up in the Air? I've been trying to call all week and even stopped on Wednesday and there was no one there.

I almost stopped by there yesterday but my meeting ran a little later than I thought.

They have a good selection, it's slowly getting lower, they charge a little bit more then other places, but it's got the most stuff. It's normally open from liek 12 or 1 to 6ish. They have a lot of shirts, and stuff too.

Not sure if this needs to be added as liquire stores are, but the

Sells DX disc at like 7 bucks a pop.

You were 30 minutes late. Try a little earlier. They don't have the longest hours this time of season.

Makes sense. Haven't been there all winter so I didn't know. Im just glad nothing happened to them because its a nice shop and pretty close to me. Problem is I work in warren now and getting there anytime before that is a challenge.

I did manage to get in there on Saturday though, but of course by then they were out of any of the 10th buzzzs. Did have some other nice stuff there, will probably hit them up again after payday because I've already spent too much on this on lol.

Went by American Disc Co in Oxford on Friday and that place is cleared out. He is still active online and on Facebook, I even asked him a question and he replied. So I don't know if he just got rid of the storefront all together or he moved.
