[Other] Post your most recent plastic purchase-Reboot

Picked up a chalk pit serpent and another backup star wraith.

That serpent though, wow what a beaut. Been crushing the practice basket with silly consistency since I touched it and I am loving the chalk pit plastic! RDG has now officially barnstormed all of my putter pockets!

I picked up a DX Cro a few weeks ago. I'm not crazy about it as a midrange, but I'm really liking it as a Putt/Approach disc...

I really like the Cro as a mid. If I threw Innova I'd go Cro over Shark3. Grip is great, and it feels like it flies faster than a Shark3 to me.

Speaking of Innova mids, I picked up an RW-Pro Roc (and a RW-Pro Aviar, pictured). I love the plastic! Why's it not in production?:

I picked up a DX Shark the same day as the Cro. Played both for awhile...I pulled the Shark out, but the Cro stayed in the bag.

I looked around here, and there's not much talk about the Cro. I figured it wasn't a very popular disc.

If it works for you, you're not using it wrong. Since you're able to approach consistently with a mid it just means that you have great touch.

Up until a few months ago I used a Classic Roc and a Wedge for those shots because of the feel of the shallow rim. I believe they were both once mids but have been reclassified to P/A.

After using the Maiden for a full round (Trilogy Challenge) it kicked both of those discs out of my bag for regular play, but they served me well for several years.

I've been playing for over 30 years, throw Innova and hardly any other mfg and this is the first Leopard I've ever owned and thrown.
Love the disc and this Pro plastic.

Umm, kinda scored in a used bin yesterday. Flat PFN Star Wraith with a cool GBO stamp with the DD logo, 11x Eagle L and PFN Star Xcal.

Buy 2, get 1 free so I spent $22 for them. 🤘

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're used bin selection is unreal. Whoever is trading these discs in is CRAZY.

This shop is less than 10 minutes from my house, which is a bit of a problem. It's a convenience store that recently expanded with a DG pro shop and he's been taking trades for 10+ years. Says they have thousands in storage so there's no telling what he has. They aren't taking trades currently and are doing the free one, trying to thin the herd and he's bringing some out of storage. He knows some are valuable and knows guys like me will keep coming back to rummage.

Threw all of them today. Wraith is 173g and nice, probably -1/2.5 out to 350 with a slight tailwind. Eagle feels awesome and is a little flippy. Xcal is the first one I've ever thrown but always intrigued me for FH torque monkey flex shots. It's definitely OS but beat enough to be workable.

I know I'm probably using it wrong, but I prefer it for shorter 100' soft shots, and longer putt attempts. I guess since I mostly throw an Orc and Roc, the Cro was bound to show up eventually.

Nope not using it wrong, brother till this year when I got him as a birthday gift the Stud for a putter used a beat in DX Gator main putter and a newer DX Gator as longer more approach putter. One of my Uncles who plays disc golf has for his putter a DX Spider as he wanted a really low profile of the Magnet, like a lower profile approach version of the Magnet and the Spider is as close as you can get so far. Uncle hated how tall the Magnet is and never liked how wide the rim was on the Hydra.

Starting to stock up on old ESP Surges. Might have to try and find a few more MJ ESP Banger GTs too, those things are just sweeeeeeet flyers.

Just grabbed a stego to compliment my scale and serp. Jazzed to own another RDG mold, I've definitely become a huge fan of theirs.

Finally picked up a Dark Maul PD and a Raging Thunder CD2. The grip on both discs is amazing, this is some really sweet plastic. Especially the color glow. So tough and grippy feeling.

Both discs are more overstable than I was expecting. Dark Maul is halfway between my new super-beef embossed S-line PD, and my well-worn 3rd-run C-line PD. It's flat, fast and really good in the wind. Wants to go left. Will be a great forehand disc.

The Raging Thunder actually flies pretty closely to that same 3rd-run C-line PD, maybe a half tick slower and less overstable but it's really nitpicking. It's a solid straight-to-fade disc even in a headwind. Extremely different from the other couple CD2's I've thrown, which need some finesse to stay on a hyzer line.

I have some decisions to make, it makes no sense to carry a bunch of PD's and Rivals, AND a stable CD2. I actually think I'll drop the Rivals because the Discmania(Innova) plastic feels so nice right now.

Lots of recent purchases

Had a miserable league round in the cold, soaking, rain last weekend and immediately went home and ordered these. My JB Zones were about all I could grip in the wet conditions so I figured I'd give the Buzzz a shot too.
