question of legal putt

The most unusual approach I've seen to an intentional falling putt outside of 10m is a pro who will set up with his left foot behind his mark, and his right foot ~2' in front of the mark. He'll lift his right foot just before he putts, and then fall back onto it after release. It's legal outside of 10', but is sure is odd watching the setup. But it does get him essentially 2' closer on every long putt.
