I use my XXX all the time. Forehands, spike hyzers, and thumbers are a huge part of my game and this disc is so predictable that it gets tossed all the time. I might throw it more than any other disc in my bag depending on the course. Anyone else throw their "utility" disc all the time?

Nah. My specialty disc is my Resistor, or maybe a Flying Squirrel, Tangent, or Tensor if I'm carrying a full bag.

I use the same three or four discs (Inertia, Axis, Ion) for 99% of my throws. I don't think I've thrown the Resistor is at least 3 or 4 rounds.

BUT, the courses I play are open. If I was in the woods, and needed all kinds of throws, I'd probably use them a lot more.

my star firebird is my utility. and honestly i can go multiple rounds with never needing it. and sometimes i use it over ten times in a round. almost everyhole if its super windy.

it all depends

Depends on the course and weather. I'm not throwing my Motion much these days, but I have a lot of tourneys coming up at unfamiliar courses, so I can see it getting used a lot more.

I use my Stiletto a whole lot. FH flex bombs, overhands, doglegs, over the top hyzers. Good disc overall.

Utility discs are often underrated.

I'll throw my Predator or Zone instead of another disc if it's windy. I'll also use the Predator for flex forehands and thumbers. Honestly, I don't really think of them as utility discs. The Zone is closer to a utility disc than my Predator, but I still use it a decent amount during regular play for forehand approaches.

The Zone plays both utility and off the tees quite a bit. Very versatile disc in my game. This is the disc I used to learn forehand shots with and actually had success. Used for a lot of shots though, backhand, forehand, thumber, tomahawk, as well as get out of trouble rollers. When not sure what to throw and stuck in a tricky situation, I typically grab the Zone.

I've found my very overstable and understable discs are my utility discs. I have a champ gator that is perfect for getting out of annoying places. For more speed, I have a very stiff champ firebird, and a very floppy star roadrunner. They're like polar opposites in terms of flight and perfect for getting out of tight places.

That being said, I mostly forehand roller or thumber to get out of trouble.

I use my 175g flat Champion Firebird a lot no matter what course I'm playing. My other really OS disc that would be described as utility would be the Zone. I don't use it a whole lot but then again it's fairly new to my bag so I haven't gotten very used to it yet.

My XXX is my utility disc also, and I used to use it about 50% of the time. Now I play with my mids so much more than I used to and they cover a lot of the shots I forced my XXX to make.
