reactor is just ok

its not better than the buzz and there is over a handful of other molds like it

no hype surrounding a mediocre disc

you gunna destroy a lineup you should at least have stellar molds and they designed less than that

its easily forgotten about

fwiw i threw that se stamp thing and a regular one

i didnt buy it but a friend had them

save your time and money and keep your buzz is my conclusion

Look man, I was chilling in the hot tub and I thought about it from an electrical perspective. I still want to back Capacitor as a name but Inductor would make more sense..

There's a time constant for charging rates.. I think it's 2 x Pi x R (resistance)x I (inductor(nope wrong formula cut that)) x C... there's a correlation there, maybe it's IRC squared but.. technically, or non so really, an inductor smooths the curve and a capacitor stores energy and absorbs the punch. Capacitor should be the other end of a Reactor on the stable side and Inductor should be a touch disc..

If they made a new plastic it could be a D-Capacitor haha

Lag vs lead... it's all phase angles man... ;)

But how far are you throwing it? How windy was it? Whats the hss/lss? Is it similar to an Axis? Hows the rim shape/comfort? What gap does it fill in their lineup?

Ok...prolly overkill but just questions i feel a mvp/axiom fan would ask before purchase. Feel free to ignore lol

Seeing your responses in other threads im suprised you are so passive with the reply lol.

Haha. Opinions are opinions, scientific truth is scientific truth. And even scientific truth is subject to revision with new data.

And the questions you asked are good ones. I am still interested to hear more opinions, and see what some of the disc testing sites conclude.

i threw it about 275-300 in heavy wooded areas and minimal wind

idk im not tommy o something like 5 4 -.05 1.3

i hated the axis tho and i think the reactor is much better

however the buzz is "better" by whatever subjective standards

im not sure what gap it fills cuz all mvp mids are **** and this is no exception i would never bag it when a buzz exists and if a buzz didnt exist i probably lean towards a truth

it was comfortable in the hand and maybe a sliver less bulky than a buzz

overall i stand by saying it was "just ok"

275 into a tree. You OK disc golfer.

I have been liking the Reactor. I have only had field throws up to this point and will have to give it the paces in these NE woods. So far I have found it to be a very straight flyer and handles power well without much HSS. For now it has a place in the bag until I can get some more time with it in the woods. But it reminds me a bit more of a mid/fairway hybrid like a Kaze. While the wing profile is not as fairway-like like the Kaze, it has a longer flight than many mids. It is super glidey unlike most MVP molds. It consistently outdrives my mids on full power shots and is easy to control on many angles. The newer Neutron plastic feels like a blend of the older OG hard Neutron and Soft Neutron. I see the Reactor being a pretty popular MVP mid.

I have same feelings also. I think it compliments Envy/Proxy really well.

As my bag has evolved to its current state, I'm starting to feel like MVP/Axiom is the Nissan of discs. And what I mean by that is that every time I have bought a vehicle, a Nissan has been under heavy consideration. I like Nissan's designs and combination of features and value. But whether I've bought a sedan, crossover, or minivan, Nissan was always the second place vehicle...meaning I bought something else.

I'm getting the same vibe from MVP. I really like their Photon/Wave/Vanish class of drivers quite a bit, but I get better results from just throwing Trespasses in multiple plastic types. The Vanish is still in the bag because I haven't beat in a Trespass yet to be that understable, but its days are numbered. Waves are purely backups now for my most beat Trespass.

I really like Envies and Proxies. But they are a little fast for me to dial in as approach discs, and I never clicked with baseline Envies for putting (probably because I prefer beaded putting putters). I still think the Envy is the greatest pure driving putter ever made, but I prefer the putter I drive with to be something that I am equally comfortable with inside of 200'.

So, much like most of my favorite vehicles that I didn't buy are Nissans, I've found that most of my favorite discs that I don't bag are gyro. :(

So, say you didn't have a buzz, and wanted to keep things gyro (for whatever reason) does a reactor replicate an axis close enough? I bag a circuit plasma axis and love it for straight mid throws. The only other mid I bag is a matrix. From what I've heard before, reactor is closer to a matrix than an axis. Truth? Thoughts? Also thought about going electron matrix in that slot also.

Reactor is more OS than Axis.

I have obtained MVP Reactors and thrown them. I feel like this is ridiculous, but I want something in between the Mint Bobcat and the Reactor.

Want the Bobcat flight for full power flat rips (zero turn and late fade) and Reactor flight for slight hyzers (flip up, no turn, late fade) and big sweeping hyzers (glide left without dumping).

No, I don't want a Buzzz. Which of the following would be in the narrow gap between Apex Bobcat and Neutron Reactor?
Method
MD4
750 M2
500 MX-3
Anchor
Opto-X Compass
Lucid-X EMac
VIP-X Gatekeeper
Pine
Verdict
Royal Bobcat

I just need a magic mid that doesn't drift right if I throw it flat but also won't dump if I give it too much hyzer. Because the right disc will fix my suckage.

Max weight Z Comet is what fills that spot.

Not the majik part, the flight part

That's not more overstable than a Reactor.

Could be if you get a heavy 180Z or some of those weird new ESP tour series or titanium. I'm a gyro head but I refuse to be a gybro.. The only thing MVP hasn't beat is my Comet...

And yeah I guess it's not that stable, but throw a f***n comet and get outta this thread! Youre ruining my rep yo. :D

Lots of vectors still out there, I guess...I didn't like it but that's probably the Droid you were looking for

I get that. And I haven't fixed my suckage.

But if you have discs that are that close, probably more useful to pick one and learn to work the angles to get the flight you want.
