    Pictures of your vintage discs

I haven't posted here in a couple years, sorry to bump a post but this was one of my favorite threads. I was looking through a stack of discs in my closet today and remembered I picked this up at PIAS a few years ago: I'm almost 100% it's a Gazelle. I loves me some Gazelle, but I don't...

    Texas Disc Golfers

I've wanted to attend this event for a few years now but won't be able to go this year. I'm making it one of my goals for the next five years. I'm from North Houston/The Woodlands area. My "home course" is split between Bear Branch in the Woods and Timber Lane Park in Spring.

    Physics of Disc Golf

I have to write a fairly extensive research paper on a sport for my Physics class and, of course, I chose disc golf. I have to write a paper that is at least 3 typed pages long explaining any 5 concepts of physics and how they are applied in disc golf. I also need to create charts, measurements...

    Gorilla Boy Disc Sports

I really like the setup Jaysus pictured on the other page with 9-10 discs and towels in between to take up space. Does anyone here use the Chimp with 8-11 discs? I was thinking about getting a Squirrel Monkey but the Chimp just seems like a steal. It'll leave me some room to upgrade if needed.

    KC Pro Roc question

This has most likely already been asked and answered but the search function turns up way too much stuff with "kc pro roc". I got a KC Pro Roc today used from PIAS and it doesn't not say 11x, 12x etc. It looks exactly like the one below except there is no "Eleven Time PDGA World Disc Golf...

    Olympic petition

I love disc golf, but I honestly don't think it'd fit well nor is it popular enough for the Olympics. Ultimate would fit much better (and I don't even play Ultimate).

    Which do you use more?

I was taught the tomahawk when I first started play, and didn't even know what a thumber was until I started reading this board. So, I throw tomahawks mainly. I use Banshees, just because that's my normal overstable driver for flicks and wind. I can throw them ~260 ft. I've never measured.

    Trying to avoid disc overlap

The Firebird is generally considered a "true" overstable driver and is therefore recommended for your overstable slot. I use my overstable disc (a Banshee, just my preference) for windy days, sidearms, overhead shots and spike hyzers. Besides that, the setup you mentioned in your initial post...

When did the Banshees with the star stamp come out? I had one in my bag for a while until I got an ace with it last month.

What type of DG'er are you?!?

I think I'm generally pretty encouraging and I really like to see great shots. I'm pretty quiet, though. I'll occasionally dish out the deserved "nice shot" on a great throw, but otherwise I'm kinda quiet. If I'm with friends I notice that I tend to talk about flaws I made on recent throws or...

How do you train your dog not to pick up discs?

What I've always wondered is how people train their dogs to not pick up their discs, but still be able to play catch with it from time to time. You'd think it'd get confused if you wanted her to catch or bring back the disc in one situation and leave it alone in another.
