Boundary Waters Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 9, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Has practice basket

Has concrete tee pads - now improved with dirt filled around the pads for easier run-ups

Has tee signs

Multiple basket placements for some holes

Has some benches throughout course

Good mix of open and wooded fairways

Course flows pretty well

Good split of front and back nines in case one wants to start on hole #10 first

Well-maintained

Free parking

Cons:

Course design and flow could use improvement as there are longer walks between holes 3&4 and 17&18

No short tees

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice addition to the Douglas County area that I enjoy playing. The holes are long enough where it's challenging to get a birdie here. Some holes on the course have challenging fairways where one needs to drive straight. At the times I've played here, I see very few parkgoers and they don't affect play at all here.

The course to play in Douglasville. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 6, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

A great course in my opinion. I've played it twice now while visiting family.

The course has great pads, great baskets and is well maintained.

A variety of shots are needed as there are ample opportunities for hyzer and anhyzers... among others. Several short holes as well a few good long holes.

Several benches throughout the course and it has clearly marked paths!

Cons:

Length between 18 and 1 is pretty far. It can be my muddy in a few spots.

Other Thoughts:

Wildlife! I have seen deer (and other animals) on both outings. It really is a nice course. A bit challenging for amateurs and really challenging for beginners.

Solid Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 7, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well thought out use of the land in the design of the course. It has some very gradual elevation changes with a good mix of open and wooded holes. The baskets are brand spanking new Innova targets.

The course plays around an aquatic center where you will find restrooms and water.

Cons:

Bit of a walk from 18's basket back to hole 1.

Other Thoughts:

It would have been good to see more use of holes around the pond. Great water does not come into play much aside from hole 1.
