DG Course On The Hill 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 11, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

First the good news: There is a fun disc golf course on this hilly church property. There are some majestic pine trees scattered about and a few other trees to shot shape around. Most of the holes have tee signs. There are some scenic views of the surrounding mountains. We played on a Sunday afternoon and had the whole course to ourselves. There are some longer open holes and some nice elevation changes.

Cons:

Now for the cons: This isn't the best-designed course that I have seen. There are some really cool holes here, but there are also holes that throw over the driveways, parking lots and dangerously close to a playground. This is a private course to be sure, and I'm guessing that most days it's not going to be an issue. The tee signs give you a spot to throw from (unmarked grass tees) and distances, but don't show the hole layout really well and can be confusing. Hole 5 tee sign is on the ground, and hole 4's tee sign was missing (nice open down-hill throw from the corner of the parking lot behind the church.) Navigation will be difficult for first-timers.

Other Thoughts:

A fun round can be found here, provided the church is not in use, and once the navigation is figured out.

Nice little course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 17, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Tee signs for every hole

Good use of the small area of land

Cons:

unmarked grass tee pads

throws over parking lots

two throws too close to playground

Baskets are not numbered

Other Thoughts:

I started on #4 by the parking lot next to the church. It is the longest hole on the course and throws over the edge of the back parking lot of the church.

Most of the holes are pretty good as long as you are the only person at the church.

2 of the holes throw dangerously near the playground and one of my shots (#3) actually hit the fence with my kids 20ft away.

#2 is a HUGE anhyzer over the parking lot that I parked in. I missed my car at least )

In all, this was a fun little course to play. I would play here again if I was in the area. However the other course in Cookville is a much better course.

BTW, this is a private course on church property, please respect them if you play it.
