EPIC North course is a fun 18 hole layout, with well manicured grass and nice new baskets. It plays very fast, with a short layout that is very well suited for a new player. The tees are small rubber mats, and navigation is fairly easy to follow. There is some OB territory in the form of roads and parking lots. Very little risk of losing discs, although there are a few woodsy holes, and a bit of brush that is kind of heavy.

Great for practicing the short game, and can be played with minimal selection of discs. I played the bulk of the course with my mid range and putter, but did take a driver out of the bag on 10 (overkill), and the final hole. Hit chains on hole three, and there are many chances to put an ace on the card.

The back 9 was more interesting than the front, with the paths through the woods giving a bit of shape to the tee shots.

Tees are small, rubber mats on the grass. You really don't need much runway on the drive most of the time, but it's nice to have. No tee signs, but at least the compact area is fairly easy to track.

The front 9 is largely open, with sparse trees on a couple of holes. The biggest hazard is throwing OB, with holes that are near pavement here and there. Holes 2, 5 and 6 are in close proximity to the pavement, and 2 got me for a penalty stroke.

I shot 2 down on my round. 2 bogies and 4 birdies. A hot round could dip well into the 40's. I might go back and give it another try. Getting two rounds in and hour and a half is not unrealistic. Wind might be the X factor that could ruin your day here.

The people on the course were all very friendly. This would be a great course to play with the family. There isn't much draw for the experienced player, but nice enough for a casual round. They did well with the land that was available. I wouldn't say there are any signature holes, but a couple of tricky lines on the back 9 through the trees will offer a bit of resistance.

With 28 DisCactchers around the property, you'll know that Epic Church is invested in disc golf. Cause with a name like "Epic Church" you know they're probably not invested in sound theology.

Two rubber tees per hole, and two baskets on every even-numbered hole. All par 3s maxing at 386ft to hole 8's long-to-long. No signage besides the hole number painted onto the tee mat, but they're fairly easy to find. Some of the longer baskets really add teeth now that their lines have been cleared out: 10 is an accessible shot down into the corner of the softball clearing, 14 is a big left movement after beating the initial trees, and 16 sits back in a deep pocket in the trees, but has two lines to access it.

Trees/woods are used to the upper limit: guarding lines on 1, 5, 9, and 18; playing the wall on one side of holes 2, 4, and 10, and the fully wooded holes 12-17 are a nice jump in challenge near the end.

Some elevation movement throughout, 6-8 all play up/down a fairly large hill, 10 has its basket on a pretty steep slope, and 12-15 are all moving up and down with the land.

The rubber tees are slick when wet, and a bit short for the purpose they serve.

Some close-playing fairways. 1-4 and 6-8 all are close, but not on top of one another. To get to the long basket of 10 you'll be walking in front of 11's tee. The course is hardly ever busy enough for this to be an issue.

Near a lot of church and other infrastructure. The softball fields on 10/11 and the campfire pit on 14 are the main dogs, also hole 8's right side is bordered by a fairly busy street.

Rough on 13 and 17 makes those holes tougher than the level the course is catering to.

The parking lots and church access road are used as OB, but up to you to decide if that's a pro or con.

This is a great spot for ace runs, testing out new discs, or getting a newbie into the sport. The short tees are short enough even a kid can enjoy it, but the longer options will bring some challenge to the more seasoned player. Worth a quick stop if you happen to be passing by.

This would be an okay course to introduce someone to the game, but not much more. The first 11 holes are all wide open, straight and with no obstacles. They are all around the same distance too. The second half of the course is in the woods, but most of the "fairways" are cleared out too much to provide any real challenge. The tee pads are cheap rubber pads, but they are sufficient for the most part. There are no tee signs to speak of. My young children enjoyed this course but they are 5 and 8. Unless you're interested in an ace run, any decently experienced disc golfer will find this course boring and far too short. The course is nicely maintained, and the baskets are nice and appear to be new. All in all, this course has its merits, but I wouldn't go back.

A variety of short holes for beginners. Extra-short tees are available that are mostly long putts and are marked appropriately. Parking lot OB is used well when not many trees are available. It's on church property so expect maintenance to be good. The baskets are in good shape.

A few of the wooded holes are good, mainly 15 and 17. They offer multiple lines with some hills. The other wooded holes are a little gimmicky, but at least provide some challenge.

Most of the first 11 holes are pretty boring, really - just pitch it up there. They're mostly just medium-length upshots. Some holes have almost nothing in the way at all. A few holes are really short, too short to legitimately be called Disc Golf holes, mainly 5 and 16. Obviously, the short set of pads don't help either.

There's a lot of lost disc opportunities in the woods. The rough is VERY rough, and some of the fairways are really narrow (13, 15) or come at the pin at an odd angle (12, 16). This isn't always bad, but given that it's meant to be a beginner-friendly course, this is a big problem. Widening the fairways on holes like 13 and clearing up the bushes on 10 and 14 would make this course a lot more accessible. Even when the fairways are decent width, the lines are a little odd, with trees directly in front of the tee pads a few times, making for awkward shots (12, 14, 15).

The rubber tees aren't terrible, but I would appreciate them being a little longer. When I had a run-up, I was sometimes worried about tripping on the edge of the pad since I was starting on the grass. Some of the tees in the woods are uneven as well.

No signage, but hole numbers are painted on the tees, and navigation is pretty straight forward. I would appreciate seeing hole distances, though.

There's really nothing special about this course, worth raving about. It's a fun place to come and toss some mids and fairways, and maybe see how long it is before you birdie every hole. But it's otherwise a bunch of baskets strewn about. Some of the holes in the woods look fun at first glance until you see they're almost all under 200 ft, and then they become no fun when you figure out the right line to take.

For an added challenge, create a safari layout for yourself, especially for the short holes in the open.

Adult and youth pads for every hole. Attention to detail in almost every respect. Excellent for practicing your short to mid game. Excellent for practicing hitting your line and shaping lines on short throws. It plays VERY quickly with two players coming through in 45 minutes for a full round.

These are only MILD cons, not full gripes.
The pads are semi-permanent rubber and could used to be leveled better. (This is mitigated by the fact that you can make most every shot without a run-up.) There is no signage on the course, but pretty much every pad is visible from the previous basket so it's really not needed even if it's your first visit.

Hole 9. The basket is hidden behind a clump of trees. It's easy to miss and throw at hole 10's basket. We did that twice before we noticed the basket we had walked past.
Don't bring your distance drivers, you won't need them. There are only a couple holes that I felt comfortable grabbing a fairway driver.
If you want to throw bombers, this isn't the course for you.
I'm honestly not sure how a better course could have been built in the small amount of space that this one uses.

This course has the first 11 holes open followed by 6 holes in the woods and ends with an open hole to 18. It has youth tees and regular tees. It is a short three par course which is great for families but the woods offer some challenging holes for advanced players. It is a private course owned by EPIC Church but anyone can play as long as a service or an event is not taking place.

Rubber tees if you prefer concrete. Poison ivy in the woods which they are working to eliminate.

I highly recommend this course for beginners and experienced players!
