Pros:
Testing that awkward putt/throw range with no tees.
For the length of this course, the basic equipment is just fine. DISCatchers are doing well, and the natural tees are marked by signs with number, distance, and par. There's no need for maps as the holes are short, and benches are superfluous since you can easily play in 15 minutes.
The property gets good upkeep. Landscapers were doing another part of the school grounds when I went through the course. The signs and baskets are in nice shape.
As for the actual disc golf portion, holes are around 100' or slightly more and have zero obstacles, except for one tree on (5). Three or four holes have meaningful (as in 5-10') elevation. For me, it's that range just between the long jump putt and a half-thrown approach shot. If grabbing <150' aces is a goal for you, this is a prime candidate. I personally had a cubby ace as I jump putted most of the holes twice for fun.
Lastly, the course would set up decently for safari. You could designate certain areas OB, and the mild elevation and couple of trees would provide some obstacles. So, if you want to throw towards nice DISCatchers, you could use this place evenings or weekends.
Cons:
There aren't major issues. The concept of an easy, short, open school course was well executed. It has everything it needs. On the other hand, that's not setting the bar very high. I basically jogged the grounds, threw some quick jump putts, and patted myself on the back for bringing down my UDisc average round score with a -9. It's just not that exciting.
A few concrete cons, though. First, the basketball court and playground could well attract kids and pose a safety hazard to playing the safari layout. Second, there is limited availability due to school hours. Third, a couple parts of the course got a bit marshy. Fourth, there is one obstacle, which is even less than most elementary school courses.
Other Thoughts:
This one is for kids, neighborhood safari players, and baggers. I don't have any real summary besides what I've stated.
