Pros:
-Concrete Pads
-Good Baskets
-Cool signage, wooden with hole, par, distance and map of hole
-Park like setting for first 10 holes
-River bottom for 11-17 with some nice platforms to tee off
-Good mix of shots needed
Cons:
-#11 is down along a steep access road to the river bottom, rock was loose, footing was tricky, at times
Other Thoughts:
High Bridge DGC plays in the City Park on the east side of Eldora, IA. The highway along the south edge of the park is the "high bridge" as it is almost 100' over the river at normal level. The first 10 holes play "park style" through the upper part of the area. #11 is your decent down a loose gravel access road down to the bottoms. This was a bit dicey on footing, but should firm up as time goes on. It is still about a 60'-70' drop. Holes #11 - #18 have a platform to tee off of. #14 and #15 are elevated, which is cool, but a tad nerve-racking with no railings. #17 begins your rise back to the top with a lot of built-in steps. Finish the rise with #18 and only a small walk back to the beginning. Baskets and signage had just been finished when I played, both top notch. One of the throwing decks (#15) was still in need of steps up to it, but I'm sure that's covered now. A more sure footing down #11 would be my main concern here. It was a very enjoyable round and I will be back!
