Fun nine hole county park course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 20, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good variety of shots with no elevation changes.

Great tee pads and signs at each hole along with a trash bucket.

All shots could be done in two shots but you really have to earn some of them!

Cons:

Bug spray is definitely a necessity!!

A few holes Are barely over 100 feet, which you'd think would be good for beginners, but some of the tree locations in front of the tee pads can frustrated beginners even at that short distance.

Maybe bring a back up driver just in case you can't find one in some thick weeds and bushes throughout part of the forest.

Not many parking options.

Other Thoughts:

Not really worth going out of your way to play this one.

Pros:

-Concrete Tees
-Nice Tee signage / Map at #1
-Nicely kept grounds
-Mostly open with a couple of tunnel shots
-Quiet place, course in its own corner of park
-Facilities available
-Quick play

Cons:

-No elevation (could be a pro...)
-Could use more benches / trash cans
-Maybe a few too many trees

Other Thoughts:

Nice course set in a county park. Course is in its own corner of the park and quiet. Holes #1 through #7 play around a mostly open area with quite a few trees coming into play. #8 is a right turn into a wooded area and #9 is a tunnel shot opening up about 25 feet from the basket. It is not a course that someone looking for exciting shots is going to enjoy, but a course most others will. Almost played a second round right then and there. I will check out this one again!

Quick 9 Holes 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 14, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Concrete Tee Pads and signs on every hole showing basket location
- Nice, Quiet, Well-maintained park setting
- Variety of Shot Shapes
- Layout makes for a quick round, easy to navigate and course is never busy
- Restrooms close to #1 tee

Cons:

- Course is pretty short, not a lot of opportunities for bombers
- No trash cans or benches (don't really need them, though - course is an easy walk)
- Can get buggy
- Baskets seem to be set lower than most courses

Other Thoughts:

This is a decent little 9 hole course, set in a quiet county park. It's pretty much its own space, so you shouldn't have interference from other park-goers. There are a lot of trees, including some large pines directly blocking shots, so several different lines to take - can play several different shot shapes.

Make sure to hit the Dairy Sweet in Lamont (about 4 miles away) for some ice cream after the round if you're headed east. Great little local walk-up spot.
