Sort of a Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Baskets are OK
-Nice park setting, upkeep is good
-Some interest working around a pond and into some trees

Cons:

-No signage, no map, not sure I even played it right
-No tees, a couple of random posts that might have been tees
-7 baskets in one area, 2 in another, almost missed the 2
-No benches / trashcans

Other Thoughts:

Kanawha DGC is a short recreational course that plays around the Liberty School Museum in Kiefer Grove in the NW part of Kanawha, IA. No signage or map, so I started at the Kiefer Grove sign, kinda made my own order, teed from the previous basket. There is a pond in the middle of the 7 holes north of the school to work around, and a few trees, but mostly straightforward and not too long. Would be a quick play if you knew the actual layout. There are a couple of weathered posts that might have held signage at one time. Park upkeep was good, and I found the last 2 baskets SE of the school. Lots of room to improve the rating - add tee pads and signage, have someone draw up a map, add some benches and trashcans and this would be up to a 2.5 or 3.0. The use of the space is OK, just had not idea where to go for sure. Stop by if you're bagging courses and in the area, but don't make a special trip here. I probably will not be back.
