Water in play
Meadowcreek Gardens DGC
A nine hole course through a mixture of dense woods, edges of fields and a powerline cut. Nine holes with two baskets (orange and blue) on each hole and 17 concrete tees. Water can come into play to varying degrees on 5 holes.
Not a lengthy course, the short to short layout is playable with a putter or putter/mid. Long to long is a tight, technical course with a few chances to air it out. While only 9 holes, the multiple teepads/baskets allow for a nicely varied 2 loop 18-hole round.
Baskets were installed 7/4/2015. Brush clearing off the fairways will continue and the course will wear in with time. Tees signs and benches will be installed later this summer.
Hole 5 throws across the creek. The city will be installing a footbridge in the future. Until it is installed, from the tee, follow the Rivanna Trail to the left about 20 yards and use the stepping stones to cross.
Out of bounds:
Hole 1: Driveway and across.
Holes 3, 6, 7: Creek and across.
Holes 4 & 5: Creek
Holes 8 and 9: Creek and across, road/driveway and across
