Pros:

- Nice tee pads and signs on each hole
- Good new baskets

Cons:

- Several holes share baskets and tee pads
- Many similar, long, boring shots
- Mandatories made just to add some difficulty
- Shots required to fly near paths/picnic tables/parking lots
- Confusing layout on the back nine

Other Thoughts:

This is a flat course in a city park that leaves a lot to be desired. There are some nice shots that require good placement, such as landing zones and low ceilings, but for the most part it is fairly boring. Several holes share tee pads/baskets, and holes 9-14 are a jumbled, criss-crossing mess. The park space seems to be under-utilized, and shared baskets/tees would make a busy day or tournament a real issue. Good for El Paso to get another course, but I think they missed it on this one.

Hole 1 is a nice starting hole through a bunch of trees.

Hole 2 has a mando (fun) that requires a long left-to-right throw to get to the pin in one shot.

Hole 3 is another throw through some trees, although a forehand requires you to throw over a parking lot to get to the pin.

Hole 4 is an ace run at a basket straight away.

Hole 5 is a shot similar to hole 3.

Hole 6 has a mando that forces you to throw right next to a walking path, which can be dangerous. Low-hanging trees make this one tough to par.

Hole 7 goes across a street to a basket on a hill.

Hole 8 is a tight shot across a street to a basket next to the rec center.

Hole 9 is next to a fence that requires a huge forehand skip right next to a picnic table to get around the corner. Throwing one inside the fence leads to a hassle of a retrieval.

Hole 10 is a long shot to a pin that is close to a picnic table.

Hole 11 is another long shot along the street, with OB to the right and large trees guarding the pin.

Hole 12 is yet another long shot to an open basket.

Hole 13 is another long shot with two double-mandos to add difficulty.

Hole 14 goes across the street to 10's basket, which is again near a picnic table.

Hole 15 throws to hole 8's basket by the rec center; can be an ace run with a nice straight shot.

Hole 16 throws right over a picnic table to a tight green by a parking lot (near cars and porta-potties).

Hole 17 throws to hole 4's basket from a tee pad that is heavily covered by trees. There isn't really a shot here.

Hole 18 goes to hole 2's basket, another long, open drive.
