Pros:

- River's Edge is a good name as the course is slipped into a small strip of land, half grassy park style, half woods, between the the highway and a small river. Several holes line the river's embankment, upping the danger level especially on windy days. The front park-style portion of the course seems to have been established for a while; however, the back holes (namely the lettered holes, which now include at least A, B, C, D, and E) are still a work in progress. A dedicated club member was there working on clearing fairways during our round. You can tell the club has an ambitious vision for this course's future, but it's not quite there yet.
- The letter holes through the woods are or are going to be (once finished) awesome. Some tight wooded lines of varying distances, using elevation and the danger of the river whenever possible and to maximum effect. Some straight up Hobbit hole shizz going on back there.

Cons:

- The established park part of the course (mostly the numbered holes) is a bit of a jumbled mess. Cramped, with an awkward flow in a tight space, this part seemed so unnecessarily all up on itself that I couldn't help but wonder why they didn't fix some of these issues prior to work starting in the wooded lettered hole section. Or at least work on both concurrently.
- Some of the back holes are awesome. However, some of the "amenities" (lots of garbage cans and random stonework) for the back holes already seems to be crumbling before it's even finished (e.g., the stairway down from one of the built-up brick has collapsed forward).
- This course just seems determined to crowd itself.

Other Thoughts:

- Parking is kinda wonky...just pull up on the side of the road next to the course. You'll see the spot right near the River's Edge DG sign.
- There does seem to be a lot of good work going into this course, and it's definitely trending upward. Keep an eye for this rating to change to reflect the upgrades!

Disc Golf has returned to Munster, IN 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 15, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

-It is always free.
-Good variety of shots.
-I went during the day on a weekend and it was not busy.
-Great warmup course that is near bigger courses to play afterwards.

Cons:

-The course feels a little cramped.
-No Bathrooms in walking distance.
-The tee pads are currently gravel/missing.
-First timers will have some difficulty following markers.
-The organization of the course is not as fluent as others.
-The noise from the neighboring expressway is distracting.

Other Thoughts:

This course is really the best you are going to get considering all the constraints of what they had to work with to squeeze a disc golf park back into the town. I really must say its a great warmup before a full size course but it is not one to go out of your way for. If you would like to see my video of playing here click the link below.
