Nice park course with a couple of issues 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Decent Baskets (Mix of DGA and Dynamic)
-Excellent Tee Signage
-Layout is easy to follow
-OK beginner course with a little length

Cons:

-Holes #2 and #3 play on development (private) land
-Holes #4 and #5 play along the street
-Hole #7 plays over a basketball court (Especially for RHBH)
-Natural Tees
-A few trees to work around, but not much excitement for more skilled players

Other Thoughts:

Victory Park DGA plays just east and south of the CAM Schools in Anita, IA. A reasonable city park course, play begins in the middle with a first tee that took me a minute to find (added a map). Holes #2 and #3 play across the street from the rest on private land that has a large sign on it advertising sale for development. #4 and #5 play with the street to your left, which is OB. The other hazard is on #7 that plays along one side of a basketball court (also OB) and really over it if you are RHBH. The set-up was OK, the park in nice condition. What knocks down the rating is the hazards and the threat of losing 2 holes to development (the sign shows it as 3 lots any one of which would kill both holes). Concrete tees would add a bump to the rating. An OK course in its current configuration, I might play again, if in the area.

Pros:

New tee signs recently installed
Not much traffic in the park

Cons:

Small Park so several Holes throw along roads
if there during school hours or Elementary event holes 7 and 8's baskets may have cars parked close by

Anita Course Review 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 12, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice baskets. Basket locations make for some challenge.

Cons:

Couldn't find hole 2&3 across the road. Throwing along the road is dangerous as well as the walking paths. Need signs on the tee markers, most are missing.

A disk golf course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 18, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Nice baskets
- Bathrooms in park
- Holes marked by number clearly when you get close

Cons:

- No information on poles to tell which baskets go to which holes
- Have to cross road for holes 2 and 3 and back for the rest of the course
- If any sporting event was going on at the school it would be pretty busy
- Hole 8 we had to skip because we could not find the tee box. If we have to look for more than 10 minutes for the tee it is a poorly set up course
- Playing adjacent to a road the entire game

Other Thoughts:

Maybe good enough for in towners to play. From the picture it seems like they had taken better care of it at one point. The nice signage would have been appreciated but maybe the course was vandalized or lost the posts. Not good enough to travel to play. You can skip this one.
