[Innova] For the love of the Bird! ..Teebird that is!

My LOVE with the Teebird is everlasting. Just absolutely throwing great shots with them. Champs, Echo and Stars. They all give me a warm and fuzzy feeling!

yeah, i can definitely see why it gets so much love. i went and did some field work, the gstar is great. i will probably make it a point to stock up on them once i get more cash flow - no, please nobody offer me trades. :) the OLFs wind up a little farther forward typically, but i could play a full round with just 'birds and not miss the OLF too much depending on conditions.

I only have a couple throws with my G* yet, but they were interesting. Thrown flat it seemed to kind of track to the right ever so slightly (not turning really, just tracking that way) and then slowly came back neutral and laid down. Certainly much less fade than the new star tb I was throwing with it. If this holds true I'm pretty stoked about my setup: 1 champ, 1 star, 1 gstar.
And if gstar durability is decent, I think it will be a great disc in the woods.
Of course I keep reading koda's posts about his DX teebirds and since I took the Havocs out of my bag I keep thinking about a light DX for max d shots...damn it koda...

What would be a good replacement for a beat (can be thrown on an anhyzer but wont roll, flies with turn and a mild fade when thrown flat) CE Teebird T. I fear the Ce bird may be nearing the end of it's life.

^My seasoned 11x CAL TB fits that description to a "T" (no pun intended ;) )

If I had to rate it, I'd call it 6-7/10

Sounds like G* is less stable than star. What about compared to echo? How does it compare durability wise to star and echo?

I should have clarified, what production Innova disc that i can buy in stores. Obviously a beat cal Teebird would be a good replacement for another beat cal Teebird

Ah, gotcha!

I was kinda going off the fact that a CE T-mold would be very expensive ($55+) to replace when compared to a 6-7/10 11x CAL TB ($25-$35ish)

As for off the self, (considering stability only) I would say the Echo Star TB would be a good choice, and seems to be a popular thrower. I dont personally bag one though.

If dominess is a major factor for you (it is for me, I like flat) Maybe a max weight G* TL or 171g~ish G* Teebird would be a good choice. I'm only throwing the max weight G*TB and its pretty OS. That being said, I can get it to fly a nice anny line...

I would contend that the G* is not a concensus to be "less stable" than Star. maybe I just got some beefy ones, but my TB & Destroyer are both very stable.

Durability wise, I would say certianly more durable than Echo.
I cant comment compared to normal Star, bc I dont regularly throw much Star. However, I am consently AMAZED at how durable the GStar stuff is. I think the gumminess of it adds to the durability when compared to stiffer plastics. It displaces the energy of impact better.

Nice, looks like I might have to snag a G*

definitely not as durable as star but not bad at all

Yea seriously get a G* Teebird.

Disc is absolutely money right out of the box and, as of now, put my 11x Champ back on the shelf.

Innova just dumped a bunch of F2 G*'s in the proshop including plenty of Teebirds.

Makes the decision to try one pretty easy!

how do champs beat in? mine is pretty stable; it can take a decent amount of headwind and will not turn whatsoever when i throw it. it's not flat but it's definitely not domed up. it's a comfortable, smooth and rather small dome.

The transition back from FDs to teebirds went flawlessly. I'm up to a stockpile of 7 new run Echo Teebirds. They feel great, low dome, fantastic glide, break in well, etc.
just came in to say that. new echoes rule, but please stay away from my max weight yellows.

Shhh, keep it a secret. ;)
