What are your discs for FH rollers? What is your grip? Do you ever throw them off the tee or only out of trouble? What FH disc is most resistant to turning over? If you can perform this shot reliably it can be pretty useful.

I usually use a one finger FH grip to roll

My finesse FH roller disc is a hard Harp. I can make it cut, go straight, or turn over but with limited speed/distance.

For a simple dependable S-shape I use the Trident

My power FH roller disc is a Opto Stilletto, though I am open to suggestions. Nuke OS, Firebirds, Max and Monsters have all done good. Very curious about the Ape, XXX, Enforcer, X1, H1 whatever.

Videos, measured distances, and tee pics of holes you use them on would all add value.

I usually use them for get out of jail type shots or if the line dictates.

I use a split two finger grip, middle on the rim and index on the plate.

Zone and pure are my usual suspects. Never really messed around with FH rollers and faster discs. I need to but I have little confidence in anything FH over 150-200'

I use them occasionally off the tee and definitely use it on get out of trouble shots. Stacked two finger. Disc depends on the wind, there's enough air time where a bad choice could end badly. Sadly, i've not done it enough to make a quick choice at the tee or even say a "favorite" here. But I typically pick up a firebird, buzz, or rhino...the buzz is what I use when I practice throwing these, although it's when playing fetch with the dog.

My BH roller discs and FH roller discs are the same: Heat, Surge SS and beat-in Cannons. I only throw FH rollers off the tee if it's a situation that I feel my BH won't be accurate enough (low-ceiling, tons of trees, etc)

I use them a lot both off the tee and get out of jail. I don't throw much backhand so I use them a lot on left turning holes with low ceilings. The are also great for S-turn holes that start bending right then finish left. It's all about the terrain. One finger grip - I throw all forehands with one finger.

I primarily use three disc for FH rollers :
Champ Max, KC Pro Banshee, Pro Firebird.
All similar but slight variations in amount of movement and distance - It's all about the line I'm trying to hit. I don't like extremely sharp edged discs as they seem to get deflected more by small obstacles. I also don't care for Star plastic, It has a lot of bounce when it hits on its edge and that messes with my chosen lines. Must be pretty flat - No domey discs for me.

Some specific Holes where I use them (Some should have pics here):
Armco Park Blue # 2 & 4
Veterans Park(Lexington) #1, #14 & #16 (left placement on the hill)
Kereiakes #17
Shillito Park #6 (left placement)
Holler in the Hills #10

Hard flat, centered parting line. The best I have found are FAF Flat Glow or Pearly Champ Firebirds. Use for holes 14 (guantlet) and 15 at Hornet's nest.

I throw them for out if trouble shots and low ceiling shots off the tee up to 250' or so.

I use zones for touch rollers and a star Max for longer rollers. I like the star max because it's over stable and has a wider/blunter rim than most drivers so it rolls well

I typically use my Star Xcal or Champ Firebird. The throw featured in the link below is with my Star Xcal and measures out to about 190'. I also use this shot for several shots at De La (holes 4 and 13).

I use the star max for my longer ones as well, can get it to 325 or so if i hit the line correctly.

I use fh rollers as a driving method since I throw Lhfh and rhbh.

H1, xxx. Xxx is like having 4 wheel drive. It hops over stuff and just keeps rolling because of how flat the outer rim is.

That said, I roll my rocs, my aviars, tb and tesla, xxx and my faf giant. They all have their uses.

So you are totally ambidextrous, or just developed some adequate DG left handedness?

I did throw the Stiletto at DeLa hole 4 last week and it worked out. I find that I really have to crank it though or I risk it staying cut and going right. But if I really crank it, of course, sometimes it turns over too much. Thus this post. For those unfamiliar, it's very OS, very flat, but thin at the edge of the rim.

Wish I had played Rabbit Flats last time I was in Thousand Oaks. Instead I drove up to some reservoir course (Coyote something Lake Casitas?).

I've been throwing some really nice FH rollers with an RDG Scale. I actually haven't practiced that shot a ton, because in the past its been really unpredictable. But my Scale is super consistent and seems to roll FORVER despite the slow speed.

I have used the Star Max but not champ Max. Is it massively more stable? I do like the wide edge.

I use the bent index Power Grip, and mostly use overstable discs for distance FH rollers up to 450' with the Star Xcal and Firebird being the most consistent. I can throw Roadrunners on sky anny rollers 400'+, just less predicable because they turn more and have more angles. I usually only throw rollers if they are the best option.

Distance FH roller off tee with Star Firebird about 350' after hitting trees:

Attempted roller ace with Star Firebird, it's 225' but uphill 60':

Most will find this unusual but I throw a hard FH roller on Kenwood Trails #11.

The near gap off the tee is very tight, and the fairway turns way uphill and deep to the to the right. There is a mando, however, on the right about halfway up the fairway. Failure to hit the near gap is a disaster, but near gaps are fairly easy to hit with a FHR. I throw it hard and it climbs the hill always past the mando. Sometimes it turns over at the end but that is fine. I still usually have a open look to the pin.

My goal on this hole is a 3 BTW not a 2. It's an easy hole to take a big number. An air shot of any kind has more risk of hitting a tree and basically re-teeing or bouncing right and missing the mando.

Thanks I forgot about that grip (which is odd since two of my three kids use it). Time to go do some testing.

I was playing DG about 7 years ago and fell on a slippery tee pad, when I caught myself as I fell I tore my shoulder apart. After about 2 weeks of not playing I began to go stir crazy and headed out to the course determined to learn how to play LHBH. As it turns out I was not only better LHBH but had far more accuracy and touch with my shots. Now I am 70/30 LHBH although I still putt RH.

Hole 4 at De La is a mean beast that offers extreme risk/reward chances. The FH roller really gives the best chance to capitalize on the reward opportunity of that hole IMHO.

I roll RHFH with Star Max's, as well as Champ Ape's. Hole 4, 11, 13, and 16 at DeLa are my top roller holes around here. No rollers really at GGP or Stafford.

I'm super curious about the Ape. I played with a dude in Seattle that forced it over BH landing it very close and it rolled 400 plus on a rope and fell over.
