Depending on the length and "tightness", I'll usually carry 10 drivers and 6 mids and 2 putters. If there's water, I'll carry an overstable driver floater and an understable mid floater as well.

As a mid, hate it. It's in R-Pro so that may be it (hate it too). It was the first disc I bought (was given a starter pack) and I didn't realize that R-Pro was different than Pro.

It actually has become my putter of choice. The disc and plastic works for me there. Another member commented that a Skeeter loves spin and that may be why it doesn't work for me as a mid yet (still developing my spin).

It's weird before I anointed it as my putter, I wanted to take it out of my bag after every round but I kept reaching for it in putting situations. My brain hated it but my hands liked it.

Hey, since you love the skeeter so much I have a Star one that I'll trade you for the Star Cro you have on E-bay :D

I carry usually about 23, but this is only because i just got a gb kong bag, and have the extra space in my bag. I usually only throw about 12 of those consistently, but the rest have about 1 specific shot I use them for maybe once a round. Also, there are some duplicates in there just in case. But if needed to i could definitely drop my bag down to about 12 or so.

I carry 7-8, even if I am working on only two discs that day, because I don't want to be called a TDD.

just been playing for the summer, have changed the rotation a couple of times

right now I have 2 or 3 found discs that are nameless so I'm trying them out. I have my 2 regular disc for driving and their backups then a putter

11 total.

Drivers: 1 Pro Boss (stable) 167g, 1 R-Pro Boss (unstable) 161, 1 Champ Boss (overstable) 172, 1 champ Destroyer (stable) 169, 1 Star Boss (wicked overstable) 167, Max weight Monarch (stable) for rolling and wind turnover lines 175.

Approach: 1 Star San Marino roc (stable) for upshots 175, 1 Elite Z Wasp (overstable) for wind 177.

Upshot/Putters: 1 DX Aviar (straight) short upshots 175, 1 R-Pro Aviar main putter (slightly unstable) 172, and 1 JK Aviar stable wind putter 172.

I float between 8 and 13. I voted 11-15 though, as I played a round with 12 last night after picking up a few new discs over the weekend.

2 Voodoo
1 Pig
1 Cro
2 Roc
2 Teebird
3 Orc
1 Destroyer

I was up to 25 at one point. I now have 17. If I know the course well, sometimes I will leave the bag in the car and just carry 5-6.

6 drivers, 5 mids, 4 putters.
Hopefully this will expand when I get my new larger bag for XMAS!

That is quite a span. What kind of situations would make such a difference?

I do things like that, so I'll answer for him (and he can disagree if his reasons are different). I carry 1-3 discs on local courses that I know well, and I switch up what discs those are all the time. That makes me learn different discs really well, and think about different lines and shots on the courses I play all the time rather than throwing the same disc and the same shot every time. When I play a tournament or a new course, I bring my full competition bag (21 discs), and because all of them have been used by themselves, I know what discs work best for what shots so I feel comfortable with any hole or conditions I might find.

that 31+ number would be back-breaking...I carry 12-14 per round depending on the course with 14 I carry:

2 - putters
4 - mid-range
2 - fairway
6 - drivers

17 discs in the bag right now. Most of my throws will be with an aviar or roc (3 of each). There are several discs in my bag which get thrown less than one time per round. Nice to have them when you want them though...
you must be playing a short course....

No, I just use those discs for most of my shots (not necessarily my drives...). I use my aviar on almost every hole (putting) and most drives under 225'. My rocs get used on most drives under 300' and most downhill drives under 350'. The rest of my bag is mostly drivers and gets used a good bit off the tee but that doesn't account for most of the shots...
