[Innova] Commander - New Midrange

I don't think anyone thinks the Roc3 is an OS utility disc.

The experienced and well-read people here at DGCR know better, of course, but someone seeing the Roc3 and its numbers 5,4,0,3 might be led into believing the Roc3 is a very overstable disc, especially Champ ones fresh out of the box.

And I was just saying that this is not the case; the Roc3 is not really the 5,4,0,3 advertised. Therefore, this new disc at 5,4,0,3 might (or might not) be the OS disc some would have expected the Roc3 to be.

It could also be a 'response' (or pre-emptory move) to the Prodigy A1 that's in the works...

Ya i agree with SD86. I think Innova needs to update the flight numbers of alot of discs.. 3 fade is the same as a banshee. Banshees are pretty OS compared to a teebird fade of 2.

A dx roc is like a fade of 2.

I'm sure that Innova couldn't give a chit what they do.

The Roc3 is really like 5/4/-1/2, maybe this will be accurate?

What Roc3s are you throwing that have turn out of the box? All the metal flake ones I have thrown have been legit over stable when new.

The flat champs (which is 95% of them) show a little wiggle at high speed out of the box. Pretty easy to pop them up to flat when thrown with hyzer

The whippet and viper have both been around forever. So they "pre-empted" the a1 by about 20 years

All the champs and McPro have some turn when thrown in the 325-340 range by me. And I don't have awesome backhand power.

Metal fake is usually more OS so your could fly the to the numbers, but that has not been my experience.

Needs a very OS complement called The Master so we can have Master and Commander: Far Side of the Fairway.

I share this sentiment. I never threw a roc3 that was truly over stable. Glow Gators OS.

I'd say those are much better numbers. Though the GStar and DX, even fresh, have leas fase than that even. Not down to 1 but like 1.5.

So maybe the Commander will have Roc3 fade with no turn.

325-340 is pretty far to be throwing mids. I'd expect them to turn a bit at that point.

Which I can't find any more of to save my life.... Gggrrrr.

My 2x roc3 could go toe to toe with any gator. I have a decent replacement but it's not the same

I'm buying just about all Roc3's I can freaking find. Haven't tried a gator though. Coming from the Buzzz, and Truth, I'm trying to figure out why I didn't throw Rocs sooner. The 3 KC Pro's I have are solid. I've got 2 more Roc3's coming in, and gonna try a McPro Roc3 as well.

I usually don't throw my Roc3 full power, as I'm using it on approach shots, but even when I do throw it full power I don't get much if any drift or turn to the right (RHBH). What I get is a very straight flight then a dump to the left. If I throw it a little bit high, it'll fade out a bit more to the left. This is basically the same over all plastics I've thrown (Champ, firm Star, soft Star, GStar, McPro),and the Roc3 gets even straighter and less fading as it seasons in.

So I'm not sure what numbers to put on the Roc3. Maybe 5,4,-0.05,-1.5 to 2.

What I do know is that it is not a Gator/Viper/Whippet/Banshee/Firebird/Monster kind of overstable disc. Maybe the Commander will fill that OS role at the Roc3-speed level.

You may not be Paul McBeth, but 325 or more with a mid is plenty of power. Yours will not be mistaken for a "noodle" arm.

would love a beefy roc3... feel like this is the only slot they're truly missing.
