BEFORE YOU FLAME ME FOR NOT SEARCHING THE THREADS, I saw the one thread on this topic, but I'm looking for something a bit different. The other thread isn't helpful for what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a bunch of different options for some OS fairway drivers. I'm looking for something speed 7 or 8 that's between a Teebird and Firebird for example, but across all the manufacturers. Some molds that come to mind are Eagle, Tyrant, and F2, but I know there are a ton out there that I can't think of. I currently throw a Volt which is great, but a bit too straight. I've thrown a Shock and don't like it too much. Whatcha got for me?

It's a lil faster then you asked for, but at speed 9 a Thunderbird could fit in that slot.

Some people find it too slow, but I'm a big fan of the FD2 for this slot, very HSS with a decent fade. Sounds like it might be too much on the Teebird side for you though. Depending on how OS you want, a recycled Spark could do the trick.

Banshee and FD2. I had a Shock and didn't care for it. You could also try a Max weight champ Teebird or Brinster bird.

You already mentioned the Tyrant, which hasn't even been released yet, so why not give the Raptor a try? The Armor Flex plastic does take some getting used to (it's very grippy but pretty floppy, especially in the heat) but its a great disc. Not nearly as OS as a good Firebird, but solidly more OS than a Teebird. Holds big sky hyzers and is great for forehands and overhands as well. Durability is great...mine hasn't lost any, and I do many ANY stability in five months. Of course, I don't throw it that much.

Another option is the Brinster Tour Series Teebirds. I bag one and a Raptor...the Raptor is more overstable.

Brinster Teebirds are great, but no longer in production from what I've heard. Hopefully the Tyrant will fit the bill, but not yet in production. The Avery Jenkins tour series Star Teebirds were also nicely overstable, but I don't think they're in production anymore either now that he has his sig on the regular Stars. Some max weight champ Teebirds and Eagles are just about as OS as the Brinsters and AJs, but you might not want to hunt around. A champ Banshee might work, but they seemed pretty glideless when I threw one. The Sexton tour series Firebird is a more mellow firebird, so even though you said speed 7-8, that might be an option if you already bag Firebirds. The Prodigy F1 when I had one (a proto) was also similar to a Brinster or AJ Teebird in stability. The F2 was not nearly as overstable.

Banshee, or maybe a blaze would fit the bill.

Faster options would be like an sPD, OLF, thunderbird, or even maybe a saint pro.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. I might add that I already throw an Axiom Wrath for my Thunderbird/Starfire control driver slot, so the Thunderbird would be redundant.

I think for those who said Banshee, Raptor, Reaper, and Talon, that's a bit too OS and I have a BEEF fairway slot already covered.

I forget who, but whoever mentioned the FD2, what distance are you throwing? I forgot about this mold and might be interested. I might also pick up a Brinster/Jenkins Teebird to try as well if I can track them down.

I use my FD2 for way more shots than I thought I would when I first picked one up. I max out around 375-85, but I use the FD2 mainly on holes from 250 to 325. It powers down well enough that I'm able to go straight from an Envy or Harp to the FD2, but also takes power/torque/FH throws very well.

I'd also add that I get pretty similar lines between it and a Brinster bird, but it feels more comfortable in the hand, especially on a FH throw.

I use a C PD for this slot. FD2 would do as well, but the new run of C PD is just too good.

Yea I guess that could be an issue. My resistor is from release day and has lost a lot of fade and added glide, but still doesn't really turn on its own. Right now it more or less has the fade of a servo with the HSS of a crave. If your are throwing a resistor, maybe try finding a seasoned one to match with a fresh.

I've got a Fireball for OS, then Volt (which I want to replace...) and Crave.
