ZJ- Have you been drinking already?! This is a non-issue for 99% of all players ive ever met. NEVER been shoulder bumped on a course. Punk ass dudes did that in high school and are the lames of today lol.

McCaresomuch could have joined the PDGA board years ago...? Can players attend meetings of any kind? Wonder how many show up....

If its anything like my experience in the real world welp its always the same few who are trying to do it all and bunch on the outside bitch.

Paul's wants more transparency ahd to learn the process. It doesn't mean the pdga has to listen, but he clearly knows the disc golf community will hear his voice. You guys are still talking. It's just a shame you are focusing on someones personality than seeing the good that can from this. Paul will emerge more educated on how he can impact dg.

If Paul wants transparency and to learn the process, he could start with reading the procedure easily accessible on the PDGA website and go from there (like some here have done already). He could contact someone at the PDGA directly to ask his questions. He could take a step back and realize that things don't happen instantaneously and his public protest and boycott is most likely premature and entirely unnecessary.

I agree. I don't think the suspension will get lessened.

I wish Brad would issue a statement saying thanks for the support, but please don't lighten your wallet on my behalf. But that won't happen. We know why Brads embracing the attention.

The PDGA just needs to be more aware of how media works these days. They should of known that an 18 month suspension gets attention. That's a huge number and the perfect platform for people to try to use.

Why didnt he do it at the start of the season? Nothing has changed.

That's why I said he is learning. Hes never really tried something like this. I'm sure he's aware of the rules by now.

It's quite possible that McBeast doesn't know how to read. I mean in the very same tournament that we're talking about in this thread, he didn't know about the drop zone nor did he play #7 at Jones East correctly at Pro Worlds. Sounds to me like he doesn't read the caddy book. :D:D:D

No but I did have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I used chunky peanut butter and peach jelly, plus some wholegrain bread. I know, its not the old school traditional pbj you like. Sorry for living a little, trying new things! :hfive: :D

Its pretty clear Paul wants to be one of the ones doing something.

I get that you guys want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I hope you're ready to have him let you down when things go bad in a tourney. If he's really burdened with as severe of psychological issues as he claims and hasn't been taught right from wrong (which he said himself in his AMA on here, I believe), it's inevitable.

Peach jelly explains a lot... No wonder Zam had to get away! Peach and peanut farts?!

Why does everyone want to protest something all the time? How about just live your life, and quit protesting stupid s*** that wont matter in a few weeks.

The livelihood thing has been bounced round several times now. In his AMA thread, when BW was asked what his job was he replied, "electrician.". I don't think this threatens his livelihood unless PDGA stands for professional d'electrician grande association.

Is there no video? If there's no video, then did it really happen?

It turns out that before TV the world was an empty slate, grey, formless, then god said, "let there be light!". From the void a warm glow appeared in three colors, red, yellow and blue. And they mixed into fanciful patterns and emitted from a tube. And it was good, but God was still unhappy for there was no one to watch advertisements. So he created sloth, an ability to lie about on a couch and watch the tube and it was good. But still, something was missing, so he invented Doritos so there would be something good to eat while being slothful, while watching the tube. And God scratched his head, for it was perfect and he didn't want to create man who would watch TV and draw all the wrong messages. What the heck, he thought and did it anyway.

I'm sad that it didn't take very long. As much as I've argued that it's no one's business but Bradley's and PDGA's, I am bummed to see such talent wasted over something so silly as a temper.

You may have just won the internet for today.

i hereby nominate lyle to head up a newfound disciplinary committee. all in favor??!??!?

Only if I get to keep the fart puff. To be on the DC you have to eschew posting your opinions in places like this. It's not required, but is a wise and appropriate thing to do. Not being able to write fart puff would do serious harm to my soul.

As the more experienced posters are pointing out, the rules are meant to protect BW, and those who speak out. Brad is supposed to get a reasoning for the decision beyond what we get, otherwise the DC is the gestapo. I'm gonna bet he has or will soon. He can PM Paul, zl, and everyone else that report.

There is a rigorous set of checks and balances in the process, it isn't just the DC, it's also the Board (not all of them), and I think BG has to check. It's been a while. The notion that so many people got it wrong is only acceptable if you really believe the PDGA as somewhat evil or inept. From my shoes, the growth of the sport under their stewardship belies that. Evil empires are best left to the big screen. Yep, they may even have gotten this wrong. Wanna bet they'll fix it?

To me the heart of the matter is the length of the suspension. I think all players expected BW to be suspended for his actions, but 18 MONTHS without explanation is pretty shocking. Sure there is an appeals process, and hopefully after emotions settle down the punishment will be more fair.

McBeth could have been more patient sure, but why show restraint when such a harsh punishment is handed down with no communication as to why the actions deserved 18 MONTHS!! Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. PDGA went to extremes...McBeth went to extremes.

I think McBeth is totally in line to take the PDGA to task. This is a very serious matter to the handful of pros who make a living playing disc golf. Props to McBeth for sticking up for his fellow competitors and himself.

The PDGA is right to suspend BW, but they need to be very careful about the precedent they are setting with the length of the suspension. What if a more liked player is on probation and has a similar altercation...do they get 18 MONTHS? Did BW know that was how long he would be suspended?

Just an FYI..... Paul and Bradley are still on the entry list for an event that is 3 days away.

I might have to give the TD a call to get him up to date. I'm thinking he's got a bit more on the table right this minute and hasn't had a chance to take in this beautifully informative thread about the impeding ****show that's about to befall him. :p

I'll try this again for those who haven't read the entire thread...

Brad was on a 12-month probation after a 3-month suspension. Just like in real life, when you violate our probation the ORIGINAL sentenced is enacted. So he wasn't given 18-months for this incident. THAT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS!!

He had his existing 12-month probated sentence enforced along with a new 6-month sentence. Why 6-months this time for an infraction that wasn't a bad as the 3-months he got for kicking a basket? Because he's a 3-time repeat offender. It's called Progressive Disciplinary Action... and it's really none of our business.

I'd bet a paycheck this is exactly what is in the certified letter that BW receives from the PDGA.
