What discs would you recommend to a forehand thrower looking to improve his shot selection.

1 Distance
1 Mid
1 Short

....

I'm not the best sidearm guy, as i throw forehand, but here is my list..

Distance: Wraith or Boss <- AM currently experimenting with both. I dont see much of a difference.(300+ feet)

Mid: Have a firebird. <- Am looking to experiment with Banshee or TL. I'd like to find something with a more straight flight.(200-300 feet)

Short: Gator <- I read some pro's review of this disc... I tried it and realized it WAS the best short range forehand disc... I would have never believed it until i tried it. (75-150 feet - i can throw this to 275' with accuracy!)

I primarily forehand, and in my experience....

Drivers-
(If you can throw with a consistently HARD flick)- Destroyer, Avenger, Wraith, Surge,
(If you're flick speed is not consistently hard)- Valkyrie, Avenger SS

Mids- Firebird, but watch out, as your forehand gets better, your FB might outfly a bunch of these ^^^, I also used to LOVE flicking my Eagle, until I flicked it into the dark underbrush on a cloudy evening, on a wooded course (if you can't tell, I'm still bitter)

Mid/short- DRONE FLX, DRONE FLX, DRONE FLX!!!!!! I've never flicked a mid better than this disc, but the key is, you gotta put ALOT of umphf into it, at least in the max weights.

I can flick my buzz for slight anny and BIG looper flicks, but it seems a bit flippy for a reliable straight flick shot.

For distance I would recommend a wraith, destroyer, or orc.

I used to throw a Pro Starfire for shorter stuff, but I never really throw a forehand for anything less than 200-250'.

Teerex, Banshee and Gator are what I have the most success with forehand depending on the shot I want. I do also throw my wizards forehand to get out of trouble occasionally, but I usually stick to the gator for short range fh shots.

Distance:
Straighter--Wraith, Crush
Fade--Xcal, Venom

Fairway:
Straighter--Tracker, Striker
Fade--XXX, Banshee

Mid:
Straighter--Buzz(Z), Shockwave
Fade--Gator, Drone

Approach/Putt:
Zone, Rhyno

Drivers: Destroyer,Teebird,Discraft Crush,Discraft Flick
Mid:Gator, Banshee->technically a driver, I know, but I use it for longer approach shots vs. powering my Gator and losing accuracy.
Putting forehand:pro Pig. There are times when you get in the thick, or behind a tree, and you don't have a clear look at the basket, except for a forehand flick putt. The pig is perfect for this shot. I may make only 1 of 10 shots this way, BUT, when I miss, the pig sticks to where it hits, and gives you a nice, easy putt.

I'm currently rarely throwing forehand so I'm going to suggest what my local disc shop owner suggested to me. Pick a disc that you normally throw and just work on form with it. The reason he told me this is because when he started out he used discs that were super overstable which just covers up the flaws in your throw. If your title isn't suggesting that your trying to work on forehand because you mainly throw backhand then nevermind.

So to answer my collection question I just either use my roadrunner on an ok hyzer angle or my 171g valk

These are exactly what I use.
3 different wraiths and a 172 Star boss for making turns.

I could see that, as when I try doing getting discs for just forehand, I either would get a huge right curve/fade (RHFH) or I would turn them and burn them. Just havent figured out the angle to power that I need.

I do have a Teebird, Firebird and did someone say and Avengerr SS?!? I might have to try that.

I have been using forehand but when I get it to work, its usually been because I take a disc I would use BH and just try NOT to crush it FH. I need practice and after yesterdays winter golf, now is a good time.

for anyone who gets enough speed on a FH drive...Wraith, Firebird, Destroyer

Distance: start with a Wraith and then move up into a Destroyer or Xcal. Firebirds are great for shorter controlled D. Max is great for longer extremely overstable shots

Fairway: Teebird, Banshee

Mid: Z Drone, Gator

Short: ESP Zone, Pro Pig
