[Innova] Kc pro aviar?

I remember seeing a video a couple of years ago where Climo was putting with P1X(?) instead of his KC Aviars. I'd love to see the champ get healthy, wreck the masters division & give us a new itb.

Isn't a p1x a pna with a bead? Same as a whale and some omega variation?

I've recently tried the KC Pro

I have some "new" (presumably made in the last 6 months or so) embossed ones. Very firm. Slightly slick. Not great in cooler temps but probably great for summer.

For driving I was surprised by how HSS they are. For reference where I was throwing a Ti Challenger with a hair of hyzer the KC Aviar for the same drive needed to be flat to slight anhyzer.

I also picked up 3 older ones from a friend of mine. 2 were PFN and 1 had flight numbers. If I had to guess he got them 7-8 years ago. The plastic is very different. Still firm but a bit less "plasticky" and a bit grippier.

One is very seasoned, concave, some chunks in the rim. Very grippy. I'm trying to see if it will be a long range putter given its seasoning. It's competing against one of my new ones that only weighs 167. The grip on the old one is better but the light weight makes the new one "easier" to throw.

Most of what I have are nice and flat topped but one of the older ones has quite a high shoulder making the disc almost domey. It might be okay for driving but doesn't feel great for putting as it feels too thick in my hand.

Overall I've been impressed by the KC Aviar for both driving and putting. They are competing against Cam Todd Challengers.

I liked the KC Aviar so much I picked up some P P2s as a beadless version. Turns out I need a bead. The P2s felt nice but didn't fit my grip the same and the release was off.

Do the new ones still have patent numbers as is the case with rocs? I have two older KCs, one pfn, both pat no. It's hard to describe but less plasticky is a good way, one is a bit waxy and they are both more "chewy"/. Much like the difference in pfn star teebirds and current star plastic..

I have a KC Pro Aviar I bought 6 months ago. It is embossed KC AVIAR on the bottom so it has to be somewhat recently molded.
It has the 2/3/0/2 flight numbers foiled on top.

I was in DGU a few weeks ago and got some KC/BB Aviars but they are not stock stamped so I can't tell you what the current runs are stamped. Sorry about that.

Hope this helps.

Great! They act just like BB Aviars should! I can't wait until they break in :)

I got a pair of these dx bbs too. I've been putting and throwing older KCs and forgot how stable they are when fresh. I need to knock the new off of them to get them a little straighter and grippier.

I got a bunch of them :D
two of them are 172g black DX BBs with the Innova Air Force logo. I haven't thrown them yet... not sure If I should keep those or try to sell them! I got a mixture of DX and KCs for my stash. Only thrown one of them but you are definitely right... it brings the beef!

Is the GStar Aviar Driver the only premium plastic version of the KC Aviar mould?

They come in Star too, they have them on the proshop and I heard they were making them again, or were going to. Could just be limited releases of it. I'll have to check again. Really wish they made them in Champion.

Just wanted to update ya, after about a dozen rounds, one of these that I've bagged is now dead nuts straight. Didn't take too long to knock the new off of it. Now, to beat it into flippy!

Its called the Aviar Driver, a little confusing but it is the same mold. And then the Discmania P3X is the BB Aviar3, BB Aviar with a flat top.
