DGA Blowfly I. Flips up on a slow rope.

It single handedly gave me the win last weekend at the Chavez Ridge Fling XXII. If you don't know the course, getting DeLa'd aint no thing. Granted it's super short, but getting Chavez'd a few times a round is almost a given. The course is on either side of a steep ridge above Dodger Stadium and Downtown LA.

Tree kicks usually sail down the hill side, and skittering layups or cage hits are a coin flip on whether they're going to end up in a roll away. When the Blowfly hits a tree it calmly folds up on impact and nestles somewhere by the base, and for my layups the thing sticks under the basket like a cowpie.

If anyone has some of the swirly purple/blue run, I'd be happy to take them off your hands.

I loved my blowfly for how it sits, but I would also get some crazy rollaways with it. If it landed on edge, thing would roll at least 30' from the basket.

I mostly used it at the beach for catch in the ocean since it floated, but we lost it the other day on an overthrow. No clue where it ended up but we combed the area for a good 15 minutes and never found it.

So I've been playing since April, and went through quite a few different companies, Innova, MVP/Axiom, Discraft, but my season didn't start going well until I picked up a Maverick first run and a Fuzion Truth. I was hooked on Trilogy, and listening to DGAM. So the rest as they say, is history.
Right now my top three discs are as follows:
Escape, I have two, both lucid, pink one with a stamp wipe...my first, and the other with a infinite disc skull spider stamp. The pink I bought used at my last outing to Kaposia, and my god did that disc and I bond, as soon as I threw it, I knew it was "the one"
Lucid-X Zach Melton Maverick, I own three, one I'm throwing, and two to cycle in.
Harps. 5. Started off with a new bt soft burst I bought cause it was pretty, bought bt medium one at Kaposia's sister site, The Valley, super beat to hell, weird stretching, but the second I threw it, I knew it was a winner, and helped me start to work on my side arm quite a bit, bought one new to match, then bought another in Orgio, spider skull stamp, and finally a Tournament Burst Hand Eye...so yeah, 5 in 4 different plastics...
I'm working in a criminal and a felon as well....but that's really the bag right there as well....Shot my best game yet at Kaposia with that bag....

Shrykes, on occasion, for go-far and giggles.

Harps replaced Zones a year or so back.

Otherwise, I have cut molds over the last several years, not added.

I think you're going to be pretty disappointed with the Lucid-X's cycling ability. It's super durable. I had a downhill spike hyzer get away from me and land hard, on the edge of its rim, on the sidewalk. It's the sort of shot that can instantly thrash your disc, but my Lucid-X Felon barely got a scratch from it and didn't lose even a tick of stability. Regular Lucid would've flown like a different disc after that. I love Lucid-X for a disc that you want to hold its stability forever (especially by Trilogy standards), but I pick up other plastics if I'm expecting to cycle.

To be fair, I also picked them up in case I loose one. I've lost a couple of different discs, so as it was the team disc, I wanted to get back up's because it works so well for me with my arm speed, all though in the last two weeks I've picked up a couple nine speeds and was shocked at where I was at.
I actually have 5 mavericks, first run that I switched to DD with, beat in nicely right now, and a lucid that really wants to run low all the time, ok sweet. I've been running a smaller bag so that comes in and out. Plus the 3 lucid x...
I know it's not well liked, but switching to Trilogy has really been key to making the sport a hell of a lot more fun for me.

I did notice those Lucid X's take a beating, I've had my orange in the bag for 2 months now and it looks like it never hit a tree...which, trust me, it has...

I could see how it could grab edge easier, but haven't had any rolls with mine yet.

Also plan on playing catch with it. Dropped my other lid for it. Keeps me "disc golfing" with my non disc golf friends (losers).

It's all about having fun, unless you're frolfin' for a living. I personally throw a mixed bag but I understand why someone would find throwing a single brand appealing. And if you get value out of DGAM, then it also makes sense that you'd want to reward DD with your business.
If you decided to keep trying out more DD molds (or Westside, or Lat64) I HIGHLY recommend buying in Biofuzion plastic first. It's typically a little less stable than Fuzion/Lucid, so as a new player it'll be easier to get the disc to fly as it's intended. Also, Biofuzion cycles quickly and beautifully, so you will be able to decide whether it's a mold that cycles well for you within only a couple months. I've got Bios in every DD mold I throw, and it's an awesome newbie way to get the disc to beat into its sweet spot. Then you can tack on a Lucid or Fuzion that will hold its stability much longer and create a great pairing.

I actually throw the mold a lot and have been for a few years, but not in the specific plastic.

Pro Destroyers bomb!

I finally found a stack that has good dome and decent PLH. These things have me hyzer-flipping forehand, throwing huge (for me) backhand turnovers and generally effortless distance. Lots of people throw star destroyers, and if you do, do yourself a favor and try them out in pro plastic.

I used to only really use star destroyers for big any forehands and backhand skip shots. This plastic allows me to use them backhand without trying too hard or ruining my form trying to throw anhyzer-flex everything.

K3 Berg. Been throwing it for a few months, basically it is the best forehand approach disc ever made. Whip it out there and it will go straight for as much power as you give it then it will stop on a dime and drop slightly right.

Funny, my newest disc is a found Pro Destroyer. I agree on the glide. I compared to other similar flying understable discs (it's NOT comparable to a star Destroyer) and it goes. I'm liking it and bagging it as my understable distance driver.

I actually found two Pro Destroyers that day, one with a name... I now understand why the guy was soo excited when I called&returned it to him.

You know, my game wasn't broke, but I am an advocate of continuous improvement. So, I wanted to see if I could improve with new tools.

Over the last 12-18 months, I tried a handful of new molds, different weights, and plastics.

The vulture was my favorite driver, but I thought it was a lot like an Orc. I've thrown Orcs for years, and have a good number of that mold in different stages of wear. So, while I loved the way the Vulture flies, it didn't make sense for me to go through the 'beat in' process all over again. Vultures out, Orcs back in.

I've been throwing TeeBirds for years, as such, most of the ones I have are 11x era and difficult to replace. So, I started looking for a 'beat in TeeBird flight' out of the box. I tried Escapes, Heat, & Undertakers. All good discs, but not what I was looking for. Escape, Heat, Undy's out, TeeBirds in.

I've putted with Wizards & Challengers for years. I like the consistency of the Challenger more, but the Gateway plastic is better. I tried Judges in the last year. They were ok, but not as good (for me) as the Challenger or Wizard. Then I discovered RB Challengers - GAME OVER.

Throwing far is cool, but you'll save more strokes around the green than off the tee. I also tried a handful of new mids, but I think I prefer to throw utters instead...

As a putter thrower, I want to learn more about the Jokeri...

If you haven't tried them - A VOLT is a lot like a 'beat in Teebird' or more accurately a Speed 8 Valkyrie - I suggest if you like more stable than flippy just look at the PLH and get the higher ones - I have eclipse ones and neutron ones with a higher PLH and they RULE for that shot

If youre a putter thrower (if you haven't already) you owe it to yourself to throw a max weight premium plastic ATOM - thing is a dream come true -

For me it's the Gateway Prophecy, which came out about a year ago. I picked up a prototype prior to it getting PDGA approval, and it hasn't left my bag since. Reliable flight and firm baseline plastic that is awesome for cycling. I had been throwing mcPro roc3's for a while but was always worried about losing and having to replace them, so I was pumped to find a very similar disc that is cheaper and easier to replace.

I earlier said FD but one other disc that has also helped my FH game (and BH, too) was the glow C-line PD2. Those just BOMB. Out of the box they are straight but have serious glide for those that have enough power. Now I'm trying to track down enough of them to stash away for years to come...lol

12 months:
CB Judge's for putting and throwing - Man these have seriously improved my putt game
Roc's (of all plastics) - Started out with a kc pro to replace my buzzz and that got me hooked. Now I have a star roc3, kc pro roc, and champ roc in the bag.

6 months:
Star Leopard - favorite disc in the bag right now
Champ Thundy - trying to replace my higher speed drivers like wraith for a bit and loving it.

My bag hasn't changed much for a couple years, but I have tried a bunch of Discmania this year... definitely some keepers. First, the PD has got to be my favorite new mold. I have 3 of them in a cycle in my bag. Just awesome discs.. close second is the FD, picked up a couple Night Strikes and WOW they are awesome. Kicked my Leopard3's out of the bag. The glide is great and is reminiscient of Teebird. I bag one FD thats getting to the understable side of things, sits nicely at the bottom end of my Teebird cycle.
Tried P2's, Wizards went back in.

Can't see my bag changing much at this point.
