went out to throw for distance today since there was no wind, i was hoping for some big improvements, but only gained maybe 30' and i feel like i pulled a muscle in my neck, haha. i am posting 1 video below, throw 503', i will post another one later of 506' basically looks the same as the one im posting.

i could only get the Pro destroyer over 500'-- i threw the boss disc probably 5 times and best was 450 and the rest were probably below 400, i just cant throw that disc yet, it comes out wobbly.

as you will see the field i was at had baseball crap at the one end so i had to throw to the side a little but you can still see where they are going.

i orginally thought i would go for 600 but im thinking of changing it to 550...i just dont know if its possible for me, at sea level on flat ground and no wind help.

thanks for you guys help the damn thing is still flying too high i know, but i will get it down more soon.:thmbup::thmbup:

ay...but can you do it in the heat of battle? can ye make that shot when it counts?:\

Congrats man. Whether 4 weeks, 4 months, 4 decades...500' is still 500'. Thanks for the video. Good luck with the rest of your game.

VERY few people can break 500. either youre not doing it, or youve been playing for longer than 4 weeks. or youre a freak of nature. who are you? what is your athletic background. please provide references.

these threads reek of chutzpah to me.:\

I played soccer for 20 yrs, football for just 3, golf for 6 ..im 6-3 so maybe my long arm and fast twitch muscle fiber gives me an advantage. i never said i was good at the game, i just like throwing the discs far for fun, i have played 18 hole course in Dahlgren, VA probably 12 times now, and best i ever done is -3 the course is pretty much wide open, it was built on an old golf course, there is a 690' par 4 thats pretty fun thou!

just an observation, maybe I'm wrong, but are you sure that field is 100 yards? because for one, I don't see any yard markers on it that I normally see on 100 yard football fields. And two, from the looks of the bleachers/stands, it looks like one of those short football fields. But on the other hand, it looks like you're pretty far away from the cam. But I don't know. Just an observation...

4 weeks? idk, it doesnt just take power to throw 5 hundo, technique is a big part, sumthing is a little fishy:confused:

Can we see a vid of you throwing from up close. I can't tell **** from those videos but if I see your form I could probably tell if you are throwing around that distance.

if it is true, I hereby nickname you "The Natural" haha

here are videos that might even help you get more distance. Notice the way Avery throws it and the flight path.....it starts left, curves right, then comes back left again....properly named the S curve.

But on your throw (can't tell from the video) it looks like the start of the flight is straight, then goes right, then left.

I appreciate you guys making me feel like im doing something really unique!...

there are no lines on the field because its a highschool field and there is a baseball field connected to it, and its baseball season right now.

i shot the rangefinder from field goal to field goal anyways to be sure...reads 121 yards.

honestly im a little dissapointed that i only gained 30' from last time i threw, im pretty sure i will be able to get 550, i just need to get the disc a few degrees lower.

if you dont want me to post updates on my throwing i wont, i figured some people would like to see.

the flight of my disc starts out left of the field goal about 15 yards, and goes about 40 yards to the right as it travels, and then straightens then falls down to the left right before it hits...so sounds like what your talking about...i need to also learn that 360 spin throw haha that would be sweet..but i would for sure jack my ankle up

second that notion:thmbup:

I will believe it when you get a wheel to measure with and stop counting 1 step = 1yd.

Make a vid like this with no edits stops etc

mark tee box
Throw the disc
have cam man walk back to you
get wheel
cam on wheel showing distance at 0
walk in a straight line directly to disc with cam following you while you push wheel.
show wheel with distance At disc
