The Dye A Day Thread!

Thanks for ruining my day Dan. I just got my clear Ion in the mail yesterday and was planning on trying a more elaborate multi-color dye. Now I don't know if I want to go to the effort based on your results. I may just add some marbling and call it a day.

LoPan gave me some hope with his post. I have one more vector here and I'll do it soon using the much longer dip times. Hopefully that'll help.

Honestly, I dont know why I dyed them all black....just thought it would be something diffrent. And I agree tyedye discs are the hardest to find....my buddy had one that was almost impossible to find everytime he threw it.... And hey it wont be that hard to find a black disc in the basket

My 5 year old daughter just saw your dye and said "Look at that earth disc! You should get one of those Daddy" I am not sure about the checkered pattern but you nailed the Earth part nicely.

Nice BBB, great image and excellent execution! Egarnaat, I said no complaining when posting a nice disc!

And Maansmit, hate to ruin your day but here's that vector. Dipped in black for 3hrs (and I cooked it a little, thought I had the heat right and went and played a round of golf, when I got back it was around 155 degrees), and the red for 3 hrs with heat, then I turned of the heat and left it o/n (~6hrs). Still pretty splotchy.

That is disappointing. I really like the Ion and want to have ones that I can actually dye successfully.

Dan, are you going to do a bulk order to grab the last of their inventory? If I remember correctly, the minimum order size is 32.

Yup, did that, I expect 'em today. After I inspect the package I'm gonna tape it back up and sit on 'em for 10 yrs, should be worth millions by then .

edit: it's not the last of 'em, there are still some lighter (<167) left.
