I'm thinking about changing to a different putter but I wanted to get some feedback from other people to help me choose.

Currently I'm using a R-Pro Aviar 175g. I bought it when I first started playing because I thought it's gummy/floppy 'ness would help it grab the chains better but I'm having trouble with it's flight consistancy and it also wants to fade away pretty quickly past 15 or 20 feet.

So I'm trying to figure out what putters out there fly straighter and have a more predictable flight path and how disc weight plays into flight path. Any feedback would be appreciated.

You need to have a Wizard under your belt. Everyone has had at least some success with it

Aviar is fading out on him so a Wizard would not help in this case.

Try a Magic.

I started with the aviars and liked 'em ok, but the past few months or so I've been using the S & SSS wizards and I'm a big fan. I get more consistency from them, they have a good feel to them, and fly very straight. I'd say give at least one of the Gateway putters a chance. Try the Wizard, Voo Doo, or Warlock.

I throw kc pro avairs, but they fade very quickly, you need to anticipate the fade. The kcs are probaly one of the stiffest putters you'll find.

Sorry I didn't really elaborate, but this was my situation too. I also use a light FLX Challenger for >25 putts. I can't really explain why for all of these but they just work the best for me. Good luck!

Magnet, apx, puttr, magic, glo avair.

You spinnin or pushin?
If pushin, I recomend a stiff beaded slightly overstable- avair, wizard, challenger, focus.

25 feet and closer I push but beyond that I tend to start to spin putt. But it's not very often that I'm further than that from the basket after two throws unless it's an extremely long hole(over 600 feet).

STRAIGHTER HE SAID!! Get an XD, Lat Spike or possibly Magic. They are straight flyers. I'm sure Discraft has something straight, but I don't know it. Someone will chime in.

APX (or Reef by DGA)

SEE!! Sloppy knows best. Even when I have no freaking idea what I am talking about. Genius I say.

I switched to a wizard also, great when it gets a little windy too

Whatever you putt with, it'll hold a straight line better if you putt with a little nose down. I've been using Wizards exclusively (except that one time I left all my putters at home and borrowed a BB Aviar) for a year, and love them, but that's not the point. If you get the nose up, it'll fade out sooner, no matter what putter you're using. More understable putters won't do it as bad. If you just gotta get a new putter, and you just can't putt nose down, maybe try one of the lid style putters such as a Polecat, Sonic, or Birdie, or the like.
