Incidentally, I finally found out where it was by asking a trio of discers who were starting Matter just as I was finishing up. They looked at me like I was crazy, told me where it was, paused, then said, "You've gotta be serious hard up for some disc golf if you want to go play there...."

Yes I played Matter. I could not locate Eastgate. I must've been past it like 4 times, ugh. :wall:

7,8,9, and 17 were out of commission. The wooded holes were i-ite, but I didn't care for the rest of the park-style-y holes so much...:\ Review forthcoming before long.

I got 4 miles away from Gas City because I got lost using the stupid DGCR Route Planner AGAIN. Ugh. That thing gives the worst directions, but I keep using it anyway because I'm an idiot. :|

I was going to try to track you down by looking for the hobo burn barrel and/or Uncle McKnutty's, and or follow the slurry trail. :|

But that would've gotten one step closer to stalking than I'm willing to take.

I'm taking a small trip tomorrow, in case you'd like to join me for any of it. I'll probably be hitting Boonies at daybreak (literally...I wake up at 4:30am fairly regularly lately).

Figured I would continue the convo here instead of the thread.

The original owner of the land possesses the original sovereignty right. He then was dispossessed or sold title and possessory right to his land. Through a chain of dispossession or conveyance this property in the form of title and possession now belongs to you. Nowhere in this chain was the sovereign right conveyed to you, only title and possession. That means that if the US government does not have the sovereign right, it does not escheat to you, it would escheat to the last legitimate holder of the sovereign right. As you say that no government legitimately holds this right, that leaves it to the original owner centuries ago. If this is the case that means some family somewhere in the world has the power to exorcise their sovereign right over your land. This seems like a more unacceptable result than saying the US government legitimately holds the sovereign right to your land.
