Ah... that's something I need! Thanks!

    What is Par?

Hate to bring this up again, but I wish this stuff was standardized somehow. If you look at Codorus, you'll find 400 footers as par 3's... which makes no sense. So let me ask you all: if you had a perfectly flat hole with no woods whatsoever, what ranges would you make par? So... say...

    One disc for "party situations"

RESULT! (As they say in Super Monkey Ball's Billiards mini-game...) I wound up buying five Aeros of differing weights and different colors. That should be enough for a party situation here. Also wound up buying six mini discs, all of different colors, in case we have the notion to play...

    Disc golf competition "TV show"?

I was also thinking of sending five players out there to play 18 holes in stroke play. Except that every four holes we eliminate the player with the worst score. But... Combine that with not a lot of interest in this thread, I'm thinking this isn't going to work right now. But hey, never...

    Disc golf competition "TV show"?

Hmmmm... that might work. Well, how could we do it under the $60 budget that I set up... well, using a little hocus pocus, I came up with this: Holes 1-6: $2, Holes 7-12: $3, Holes 13-17: $4, Hole 18: $10 Although I'm thinking it might be best to do 18 skins straight... so $3 a skin. I'd...

    Disc golf competition "TV show"?

OK, maybe I've really lost it, and I think I'm good at losing it at times. :) I was watching a bunch of old and new Boston TV shows involving Candlepin Bowling... basically it was 1-on-1 bowling shows where the winner got money and the loser got less money, but both could win bonus money by...

    What was your worst round?

I would say that my worst round of my short history so far is at Quaker's Challenge... lost two discs in two holes near the end of my round. Can't say I shot very well either... it's recorded in the scorebook for those that are curious...

    One disc for "party situations"

Thanks for all of your help so far! :) Hmmmm... it looks like the plurality of the votes so far is for Aeros and Rocs and Wolves... I actually might bend toward the Aero because there's no turn or fade according to Innova, so it should work for LH and RHs alike... but I should see if there any...

    One disc for "party situations"

Yeah, I was thinking about that thread as I wrote this, but for the newbie reason, I thought that a separate thread would be better. Meanwhile, thanks for the suggestion... I had one of those and I thought they did well. And then I lost it... grrrrrr...

    One disc for "party situations"

OK, here's the situation. One of these days, I'm going to have a whole bunch of people come over to my place, and I want to show them the game of disc golf. Unfortunately, I'm sure a lot of those people don't want to spend $10 for a disc. Sure, they can buy a $2 frisbee, but I'd rather them...

Review by gameboy9 in course Codorus State Park - Red

3.00 star(s) Relaxing golf course There are very few trees you need to contend with, so this makes it a great course for beginners. There is plenty of beautiful scenery to take in, especially on holes 3, 4, and 5. The course is very well maintained, and there isn't a lot of "bad territory", but there are...

Codorus State Park - 4 courses or 2?

I have a thought... perhaps on the hole information page, we can put an average score per hole, based on what we enter in the scorebooks. Then if people want an average round for... just literally whatever, they can just whip out the old calculator and do some simple addition. You can also...

Codorus State Park - 4 courses or 2?

Hmmm... this is a toughie. Most of the time, I will play 18 holes at Codorus (if possible), and will reflect that in my scorebook. So the average wouldn't be reflected in my 18 hole games. My guess is that most golfers will play the front 9, the back 9, the main 18, or all 27 holes on the...

Review by gameboy9 in course Heritage Farm Park

3.00 star(s) Tough, then easy I like how there's a tale of two courses; the first half has lots of challenging shots, where the second half is in a field with little challenge whatsoever. The beginners surely will love the second half of the course, because the chances of losing a disc there are minimal at...
