Sounds cool. I might build some lightweight/inexpensive tones to leave there. It'll have to be somewhat secret since I haven't ask the parks permission on it.
    Columbus County Park
It's not an actual course, yet
It's a big park between Memphis and Richmond, about 10 minutes from my house.
I'm making some tone poles to plant there. This section of the park is for mt biking but is mostly just a bunch of trails near the Belle River. Sweet sweet spot for a course with elevation.

It's a newer park that is mostly undeveloped. I have yet to see any riders there. I'm taking my son and our bikes to take pics and mark tee areas. Hoping to propose a real course there in 2012 when they revise the park master plan.
    Adam,

I'll let you know where we go. We haven't been to Hollywoods in a few years and it should be in good shape with MI AM Championship on the horizon. My buddies haven't played there yet so it might be where we end up.

I'll need your cell # again because I forgot to save it on my phone last time.

    Talk to ya later

    What's up bud,

Is the Penalty Box closed for good. I see an orange sticker on the front door and no cars in sight. What happened? Hope your ole' lady can find work elsewhere.

We're trying to get some friends together this Saturday afternoon for a round. Options are (to the south) Kennsington, Hudson Mills, etc. Possibily (not quite as south)Stony Creek or Addison Oaks. If we play to the north, it'll be Hollywoods or Goldenrod. Not sure which we'll play but I'll give you a holler later this week.

    Hope all is good

There has been some new conversation that might interest you in the guild.
I don't know of any good stores out by us that carry disc golf stuff. There are a few party stores near Stony Creek and Riverbends that carry plastic and such but they are pretty high on their prices.

I usually just keep an eye on the dgcr marketplace or order from an online disc store like gottagogottathrow.com .

I've ordered a few discraft misprint packages and got a pretty good selection at a great deal but you don't get to pick what you want.

If I see anything, I'll let you know.

I might try to play Goldenrod this saturday for their lil Frozen Flyerz charity tourney, IF the weather is decent. :) It's only a $10 donation for the local food pantry in Flint. The DG clubs usually have good deals on plastic and those guys are pretty cool too.
I've yet to go to the penalty box but I pass it everyday on my way to work. I'll have to check it out some time.
I moved out to Memphis (east of Port Huron) 5 yrs ago. There are some larger county parks and such out here but no disc golf yet.

Hit me up if you play Stony, Addison, Goldenrod, or Hollywoods. I work near Stony and Riverbends and learned the game theres.
    Hi Jabanger,

Just seen your located near port huron in clyde twp. I read something years back about a course out there in clyde twp. but haven't found anything on the net since.

There are some nice places/parks near port huron that could have potential. Maybe Bakersfield Park near the river.

Anyways, I'll hit you up if I hear anything coming out your way.
