What happened to the Ranger bag?

Have had one for a few years. Still like new. Love it. Just bought a second one (with all different discs for when I want a change of pace). The best part for me is the large compartment on top. Perfect for all the usual gear plus a hoodie.

Nice simple bag setup, nothing crazy. Firebird seems like a good option especially for those windy days. Sometimes you need a little more beef than a champ Teebird can dish out.

[Question] What's your favorite neutral, workable, "do it all" midrange?

Pre-Emac Lucid Truth Been in the bag for a few years, has a few miles on it. Just dead straight for me, but controllable when I need different shots.

In search of a backpack bag

IMO nothing beats a DD Ranger for value and storage space. That giant compartment on top holds a ton of stuff. Plenty of room for a large fleece, towels, snacks, whatever you want to throw in there. I used to own a Grip A series. It was a high-quality bag, but not as much storage as the Ranger.

    Eric' ITB v.2017

If you want a long distance driver, I always felt that Destroyers made a great OS pairing with Terns. They both had a similar feel in the hand to me. The PD is a little more of a control driver, and I love pairing it with an Escape for OS shots and windy days. Another disc to consider is an...

Comparing some molds, need some input.

I like an S-line PD to compliment something like a Valkyrie. A C-line would work as well, but would be even more overstable. Either way, the PD would be just what the OP is asking for.

[Drivers] Looking for a fairway driver. Need some advice.

Three discs come to mind: FD - maybe a C-line for a little more initial stability, personally I love throwing the S-lines. A G-star TL3 - great disc out of the box, very straight and very workable Z Undertaker - another great disc, like a slightly longer Stalker, or a slightly shorter Escape.

    Finny's Bag

I agree with this. I carry the Suspect, Verdict, Emac Truth, and Truth. They all do different things. There is some overlap between the Suspect, Verdict, and Emac Truth, but I feel they are different enough. If anything, the disc with the most overlap for me is the Emac Truth. (But I love it...

    [Westside] Pine

I found mine to be less stable than an Emac Truth, with a touch less glide. Doesn't like the wind either. There is a healthy fade at the end though.

    Is "Recreational" misleading?

It needs to be called "Bagger" division. There's always that one dude.

    [Latitude] Pearl mid-range

The Pearly is OK for kids or a wife who's new to disc golf. They're too light for me to use (and I don't have a monster arm either). If you're looking for a very workable understable midrange, the Discraft Meteor, Lattitude Fuse, or Dynamic Warrant are all good options. If you want something...

    Bag suggestions sub 10 discs

I've owned both the Fade Crunch Box and the Voodoo Juju. I would recommend either bag. They are both great bags and both can be used with quad straps. The Juju is a higher quality bag and has a stiff bottom and sides which I like. It also has a little more organization. The Crunch is great...

    Dave's Bag

Looks solid. I like the fact that there aren't too many molds. FDs are amazing. The S-line FD is the straightest disc I've ever thrown. Not too much turn and very little fade. Nice glide as well. They should definitely last longer than the DX plastic.

    [Dynamic] Dynamic Discs Convict

I've had a chance to get more throws in with the Convict. As others said, it's got more line shaping ability than my S-line PD. It's got a little less turn than the Escape and almost as much glide. I still feel like there is some overlap with the Escape. Both can hold an anhyzer for a bit...

    [Dynamic] EMAC Truth

I think the Suspect and your Pure would cover that shorter shot. Also, personally, I don't like throwing mids too hard and the Truth can power down a bit if needed.

    [Dynamic] EMAC Truth

Suspects are an amazing approach disc and compliment to the Verdict/Truth combo. One of my favorite discs.
  17. J

    [Dynamic] EMAC Truth

Truth and Verdict is a good combo. I throw Verdict, Emac Truth, and old Truth to cover my midranges. As far as fairway distances go, I can get my seasoned Teebirds out further than the Truth. Although I just picked up a backup Champ Teebird and this one is abnormally beefy. It's not really...

    [Putters] Question

This. There's no magic for putters. The most important thing is how it feels, and how you like to throw it. Some people like beads, others beadless. Some like US, some like OS. If I have to name a disc, it's the Judge. For putts, approaches and drives. Classic hard for putting, lucid for...

    Tampabay - ITB

I noticed no more XXX in the bag. Were you just not finding a use for that OS fairway utility disc, or is that being covered by another disc?

    JT 2017 Bag Update

Maybe a star Thunderbird instead of the PDs. Might be a little overlap with an Escape, but the Escape has a lot of glide and distance. A Thunderbird and Sidewinder might make a good two disc combo in that speed range. (Also, hey! to a fellow Upstate NYer)
