bhadella's bag

I did slim down the fairways this week, added a GStar Teebird and took out the Champ Glow Teebird and fresh Star TL. Whenever I break/lose my Star Leopard, it will be replaced by a Patriot so I'll get down to Teebird - TL - Patriot bag.

I agree on the midranges. I'd like to get the midranges down to Drone, Truth x 3 (overstable domey clear Lucid, worn in straight translucent Lucid, beatup turnover Classic) and Meteor. Gotta beatup the Classic into the BuzzzSS slot.

Im at Drone, Roc3, Buzzz SS, Meteor, Glide now.

Let's see the rest of it. My guess:

Destroyers x 3
TD x 2
Valks x 2
Firebirds x 2
Eagle
TL x 2

Assorted putters. You fool around with more putters than anybody I know.

Lets see, tournament bag...20-24 discs?

3 destroyers (1 Blizzard and 2 star) for BH and Sidearm (depends on how many long holes on the course)
3 Valk G* and Star Valk then a BEAT champ for rollers
1 TD (just trying to work that one in probably wouldnt play in tournament yet)
Would use a Stable Red TL normally
1 Eagle Glow Eagle X
1 TL (kind of understable)
2 Firebird Flat 12x Star and FLAT! Champ Firebirds
1 Pro Leopard

Mids
Drone
Roc 3
suprisingly stable Buzzz SS
Meteor (crazy straight thing)
Glide - trying it out(probably just go leopard in a tournament)

Putter
Main Putter - JK Aviar
Back up JK - (dont need to carry)
Flippy Spike
Yeti Pro Aviar - For driving
New Pro Pig - so flat, so over stable

On a normal course, I would probably take out the TD/Red TL, Glide, 1 Blizard Destroyer, Roller Valk, Backup JK aviar

Took the plunge for the 21 Hole Salute and then playing Moraine/Deer Lakes + a few OH courses with my planned changes. Really happy adding my old Champ Valkryie and a GStar Teebird to the bag while pulling out a few fairway drivers.

Still need to streamline my mids. Almost all of my RL Smith birdies were either Drone or Meteor shots. And then grabbed to BuzzzSS if I needed to trust placement on open holes. My Classic Truth is starting to work in well; I think Drone, Truth, Meteor will become a reality in time. Hopefully in the next month of so that Classic Truth loses the rest of it's fade as my two Truths overlap right now.

Took out my most beat Star TL as it just never gets thrown anymore. The Icon Patriot just gobbled up all of my no-fade fairway drives. I traded for a mega-beat S PD. Awesomely beat into being dead straight with moderate fade finish. Darn first run too. And traded for a Fuzion Truth that out of the box hits my BuzzzSS lines with ease. While I was trading out, I pulled the M2 and put a very beefy Lucid Truth in it's place.

NO!!!! RIP TL.

Nothing can be done about bhadella's bag until you get an Upper Park bag.

I'll have to see what all the fuss is about. I'd have to get the big one though. Getting down to 14 discs requires too much thought. I like just carrying everything and not changing out based on course.

I've reintroduced a lighter X Comet to the bag. I need something slower than the Meteor for shorter turnovers and approaches. I feel like an idiot having taken it out of the bag; it's also the damn straightest disc I own when thrown with a little hyzer. I'm still carrying overlap on my Truths, my Classic one is now overlapping with my flippier Fuzion.

I've been surprised by how flippy my GStar stuff has been getting even though it's not very beatup. My Teebird is getting really close to the same stability as my TL.....and the Valk needs hyzer to get anywhere near a straight finish. I might switch a P PD into that slot instead.

How are you liking those Pures? I have a Zero Soft Pure that I putt with but I love to throw it for mid range shots and controlled drives (play at Squirrel Lake most days on lunch) I really want to check out the medium pure and didn't even consider the Optos. (LHBH also)

Also looks great. I would think you could replace hte valks with GPD and PPD but this is just a matter of preference.

Fairway
GStar Teebird 171g (Stable with Fade)
Star TL 175g (Stable)
Icon Patriot 174g (Understable)
Star Leopard 175g (Very Understable)

This seems like a pretty crowded section. I'd personally only keep teebird and either patriot or leopard and I'd throw in a champ or fresh star teebird to compliment them

Midrange
FLX Drone 180g (Way Overstable)
Lucid Truth 178g (Opaque First Run, Stable with Fade)
Classic Truth 175g (Neutral)
Fuzion Truth 173g (Neutral)
X Comet 170g (Slightly Understable)
ESP Meteor 180g (Understable)
This area also seems a little crowded on the US side. I'd personally try and drop the meteor in hopes that the comet or classic truth would fill the truly US role, but again, this is preference. I prefer a 3 mid lineup to 4 but it's no biggie.

Love the Pure. I putt and upshot the mediums and the Optos for full power drives and skiddy upshots. If you haven't tried Opto yet, your missing out.

Looks great!

I am in full agreement on the Fairways. My G* Teebird is overlapping bigtime with my Star TL, sooner or later one will be dropped and a "headwind" Teebird; probably a heavy Star; will be added. I'll be dropping the Leopard whenever either my Icon Patriot gets really flippy or Legacy releases the Patriot in Protege or Excel plastic.

I would love to get a Truth to push my Meteor out of the bag but it will take a long time till it gets that flippy. And even though some people think either Meteor or Comet; the major difference in speed makes them very distinct and both needed.

I left my spike at Robbins on 1! Gah!

Anyways, I think you should go orc, xcal, starfires instead of destroyers.

 on the Spike. Hopefully someone called on it.

I probably should be throwing an XCal for my forehands, only the beefiest of Destroyers even stand much chance to my anhyzer/OAT release forehand.

Backhand, I really shouldn't throw Destroyers unless I have a ton of room to work with. A Orc/Wraith would be a better choice.
