It's all in the title...Just want to put my feelers out there. I got a buddy looking to have me dye his JK Pro Aviar completely black.

Does JK Pro take a dye? How well?

Thanks guys!

Don't know about the newer jk pro but...
I've dyed (using the older Rit Dye that works):

9x kc pro firebirds and eagles (waxy/taffy blend) with mixed results
10x kc pro (taffy blend) eagles with a little better success
10x kc pro (CE blend) eagles with good results
11x kc pro TBD but should be ok
4x jk pro valks with good results

All black shouldn't be a problem but I haven't dyed in a couple years. I'm down to my last packages of the older Rit Dye.

Ya... I know that older KC pro works.... not sure about the JK. I would imagine it would... but haven't actually dyed one.

If he's just wanting to dye it all black anyway, give it a shot, nothing to be harmed if it doesn't work, no time lost from doing a stencil or anything.

Sounds good guys...Yea I think I will just try to hot dip the top first and see if it takes. Thanks for the input

I've shaving cream dyed JK pros. Goes on faint. Fades hard.

This is a black idyed on a white JK

The actual black is black sharpie (script), because it was dark purple. Buy a black JK!
They are rare, but they are sweet!
