This kind of reminds me of playing in the snow last winter. My drive submarined under the snow (~14") and after about 10 minutes of searching I still could not find it. Just when I was about to give up, I slipped and barely avoided falling on my a$$. I looked down to see what I had tripped on and sure enough, Champ Teebird.

That was a foot fault and should be called. Any time you touch the marker disc with your point of contact it is a fault...
