Yes the course is open! They are having limited camps during some of the week days. But, if you're just going to park and play the course, you would be fine at most any time as the camps aren't really in the area of the course, and they're not having camps outdoors this year, like their sports and canoe camps, due to COVID.
I will say that due to the social distancing efforts, maintenance has turned from "mostly" a one man show into "fully" a one man show haha. So with just me, I had fallen behind with being busy at work and a shoulder injury. I've gotten back out lately and started hitting it hard, but it's still a bit overgrown, mostly on 16, 17, and 18. There's also a lot of work still to be done on the wooded holes to clear them out and keep them fair, but I guess that's any new course!
Things I'm primarily working on right now are: getting navigation signage up, cleaning out recovery areas off the fairways, short tees on the pond holes, and limbing some of the lower hanging ceilings. So if you make it out and enjoy it, and come back in the future, look for those improvements!

As of this date 4H Camps will be in session Monday thru Friday until the last week in July. Its possible you may still be able to play course with camps in session since the course runs along the perimeter of the property. Recommend calling the office at 252-583-5161 to check availability.
