How would you do it?

I'm going to dye a disc for someone (gift) and am wondering how you would do it. I am going to use the OU wagon logo on a white disc.

Would you leave the disc white and dye the wagon crimson?
or
Would you leave the wagon white and dye the disc crimson?

I think i'd dye the wagon crimson like the picture. If it takes up as much space as possible on the disc it'll look awesome.
