is this the longest hole in the world?

Swain Resort in western NY opens a lift serviced dgc this June. Hole 18 will be about 1, 650 ft long and drop over 550 vertical ft making it reachable in 3.

Is this the longest permanent/seasonal hole in the world or USA? (I've heard of longer temp tourny holes). Longest par 5? Longest I could find is Flyboys 1600 ft par 7.

Similar hole at Black Diamond near Buffalo. Not quite as long though. Love ski slope courses.

They aren't longer but they sure do play longer at 1,400'+ and hardly any elevation. Lol.

No longer a hole for the past 3 years - it is now permanently what it always was - an airplane runway.

The Black Course in WV, hole 18 is 1008' with probably a 200ft drop, as you tee off from the top of a "mountain"

I'm often not a huge fan of holes that are long just for the sake of being long, but that one is a pretty fun one. The wind up there makes it super tough just to stay on the fairway.

Hole 15 at idlewild is fun. A 1001 ft of roller coaster fairway finishing with a 75-80ft drop to an island green. :wall: :thmbup:

I'm not sure what the permanent layout is at Patterson, but hole 7 was 1650ft as it played on day 3 of the 2012 ND state championships. It was a flat hole.

Milo has an 1185' par 5 hole, and it's basically flat. It's hole two on the east course; though you get a nice warm up on hole one, which is a 515' par 3.

Blue Lake has six holes longer than 700'

We'll be seeing some big D throws at worlds this year!
