So we are both looking to get better and would like someone to look at are form. Thanks in advance for taking the time.

Thats my buddy and this is me

Forget everything about your current throw, and watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nED7gcXobEo

Watch it again. Now, watch it again. Practice. Watch it more. Practice more.

There are a number of good articles on form here: https://www.dgcoursereview.com/dgr/resources/articles.shtml

Lots of good info here as well: https://www.dgcoursereview.com/dgr/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16139

You guys are both obviously pretty new to the sport, and right now the thing you can do to progress the fastest is learn from these resources and get out to the field and throw. Not the course, but a soccer field or football field or any open area where you can learn to throw without a bunch of obstacles.

Ithrow. I'm no expert but your x-step is "backwards". The way you run up is preventing you from using your hips and legs for the real power. Try running up with your left leg behind your right. Or better yet, learn to throw first from a standstill. The links posted above cover it well.

Does Kevin throw anything but rollers? Put down the high speed drivers and keep the arm and disc level like throwing just over a table top instead of throwing in a huge over the top swing.

Ithrow you need to turn hips and shoulder much further back like the others are saying and use a x-step. You are curling your arm around the disc trying to spin the disc like a beach frisbee. Throwing a disc is more like throwing a hammer or stick, you shouldn't try to spin it, but throw it far and it will spin. Start the lawnmower. Both of you should check your grip and disc/forearm alignment and the basics.

Thanks for all the replays I have been starting from the ground up and once I get better will likely be posting a video again.

@Kevin comment he mainly throws really high shots.

ithrow, I recognized that you are playing Ferry Park. I am in FWB along with a handful of other people who can help you with stuff like this in person and this forum is a great resource to go along with that. PM me and I will shoot you my number and we can get together and play and work on things throughout a round. After that your best resource is to spend time in either one of the ball fields there at the park. Additionally I would like to point out that you are throwing drivers on a course that other than holes 17 and 18 can be played with a mid and putter. Drivers are going to give you bad feedback for working on form, mids and putters are best. Like I said, hit me up and we will get together and work on things.
