Putter Porn!!

depends on how you are comparing them. The Challenger is modeled after the KC Aviar. It may have a touch less glide, but that is negligible, and I don't include crystal challengers... those are glideless OAT monsters.

Warlock, Wizard, consistency issues or silly production philosophy? I'm beginning to think that Gateway actually has a good production process its just their production philosophy is certainly odd. And btw, when production issues/consistency issues come to mind I tend to think Innova first... then gateway.

i was not aware of innova's consistency issues :/. what discs do they have major issues with? i have no problem finding innova discs that feel the same.. i mean the weights may be off a gram or two but thats the only complaint from me. now gateway, thats another story..

Iv found the Zero Line Spikes to be very straight when out side the circle. I was practicing driving with them last week all landed within 3ft of each other.

11x champ AVIARS!!

I got my first champion 11x aviar last fall and just fell in love with the feel and flight. Its an amazing disc for putts, but even better for approach shots. That big bead star aviar is close, but its not the same. I have gotten a grip of them over the past months because I don't think innova will make them again because of cost, they are hand cut after the molding process. I wish they would make them again so it wouldn't cost me so much to get one or 12! I got one from Lion a few weeks ago and its the sexist disc I've ever owned. I'll put up pictures of my aviars later.

They have several discs with X and L molds along with the regular mold (Starfire for example) and it is not uncommon to find them marked incorrectly. Eagles, Monster, Starfire, ect... There have been 2-3 different kinds of Teerex molds and they haven't informed anyone about them. Which is why the Teerex ranges from freak overstable to flippy even though it is an "overstable driver". They had a run of Avery Jenkins destroyers put out with the vulcan top accident. They haven't been able to replicate the awesomeness of the first run destroyers and have gunked up some other stuff. They changed the beast, valk and a few other molds and had no molding change. Their production is insane... but I guess I should try making as many discs as them and see how many issues I run into.

Gateway though... its not that they have production issues... its just their idea of making each batch of discs different on their 1-10 scale...

i guess your right. i just hate how i cant ever find a wizard to replace my first one.. none of them feel the same and ive seen SSS that is harder then my stiff wizard..... ever since i changed to the aviar i have had no trouble finding them and they are exactly alike.

Don't forget about the + mold being used on several molds that shouldn't have it, including molds from other companies.

No overwhelming collection here, but I thought I'd tease you all a bit with some sexy photos of my current puttter (since I didn't see another one like it on this thread yet).

This baby is as rubbery as can be! No, not like a dumb Blowfly disc, but rather more like a fresh car tire rubber. Loves to grab the chains and hold on. Very elusive in the shadows...

wow.. 31.. .. one of these days im gonna snag a couple 11 or 10x'ers .. one day :)

My suggestion to you that now is the time. They are going up in value daily. I can't wait to see where the ceiling is on 10x Aviars...............

Anyways, I will post my Aviars tonight (10x, 11x, 12n Sannys, CE). I need some more to catch up with Tim.
