Hi,

I used to play a lot but that was back before youtube was even around so I didn't have so many great videos to watch back then. Even back then my drives were not very long and only of average accuracy maybe.

I've recently returned to the game about a month ago and am having a tough time a) figuring out what exactly is wrong with my form and b) figuring out in what order I should work on improving it.

This video was taken today at a local park. I *think* my farthest throw was maybe 300-350 but it may not even be that long and on top of that there is lots of effort in that distance. My biggest thing is that I think I am muscling the disc. If that's the case then that likely means that my lower body is not being used enough?

Any direction would be fantastic!

These issues are inseparable.
1. You aren't turning your whole body back enough into the plant. Slow down and turn further back.

2. You are hugging yourself/rounding with your upper arm/elbow pinned against your chest. Need to keep your upper arm away from your body.

3. Setup/aim. You are standing wide open to the target. Setup more sideways to the target and aim with your arm straight out. https://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134167

Thank you so much. I will work on those tips next time I practice (soon) and watch the videos of course.
