the Destroyer

Mine is also 172g Champ...with the "Southern California Disc Golf" logo on it

I really didn't think it was that stable.

HSS, stayed really straight for me, seemed like a wraith...just went faster and stayed straight for a longer distance.
LSS, Faded left...yes...but nothing that blew me away. I wouldn't have compared it to a TeeRex, let alone a Teerex-X.

Normally a new disc takes some time for me to get used to. I rarely can throw it right out of the box, but the destroyer seemed just right for me.

On a side note, a buddy of mine bought the same exact disc, and he swears that it is more stable than anything he's thrown...Maybe mine is a fluke.

has anyone tried tomahawk, thumber, or sidearming the destroyer?
sidearm it stays pretty straight for about 2/3rds of the throw and does a heavy HEAVY hyzer finish like a monster or a max. it goes fast.

This is my first post. Hello to all. I found some Star stamp destroyers for $16.99 a piece.

Jason at Marshall Street said that the Star Destroyers were quite overstable. He only has max weight available right now though and he hasn't thrown a champ. Actually... that wasn't really helpful at all now that I think about it.

hope this makes up for it.

those Destroyers didn't even get a chance to gether 24 hours worth of dust. They came in last saturday, and I believe were gone by Sunday.

figured that much. i wasn't impressed with the champ one I had. for my throw i had to toss with a little bit of anny for distance, which I don't like to do, i'd much rather hyser flip. Also the wing is ginormous.

want to play around 5?

Unfortunately, I can't again today. I'll be there, but trapped in the basement.

Does anyone know when the "stock" stamp of these is due to come out? As a collector I refuse to throw the star stamp or other specialty stamps but I am eager to rip this disc.

Dave D said they should have been stamped, so they should be ready once the star stamp sells out

Finally got to throw the Destroyer today. Not bad, a bit too overstable for my tastes. I don't know what everyone was saying about grip difficulty. I have average sized hands and I had no trouble gripping and getting good snap on the Destroyer. It's definitely a speed 12 disc as I got it out farther than I expected on both throws.

Not bad at all. Now if they could just get a speed 12 TL or SL I'd be happy.

Has anyone been watching what some of these special stamped champ destroyers are selling for? I was just browsing eBay out of boredom and I came across this one bid up to $142.50!

I'm a big fan of Pro Wraiths for distance, I'm collecting as many as I can while they're still cheap. When the standard priced Destroyer comes out I might try one.

big difference (apparently) between the star destoyer and the cfr destroyer!

i've thrown both champ and star and they are two different discs. their flight paths might be the same, but in terms of stability they are a world apart. the star is definitely more flipy, while the champ version is more "firebird-esque" in stability.
