The Dye A Day Thread!

Looks good. How did you prep/mix the color for paiting? I used a mix of liquid rit(scarlet and wine), my watermixed red jaquard and isopropyl alcohol and let it sit over night.

Had some issued with having it take, thats why I am asking.

1/2 tsp of powder mixed with about 1 tsp of acetone. It resulted in a very intense color within seconds of being on the disc.

pro 170 brand new katana, fresh out the dye! i was real happy with the face and little details came out perfect. if i was lookin to sell this how much should i ask for it? and also i was tryin to get a brighter/ more neon color green, i used kelly green for this one, cuz i dont like the way light green comes out, is there any brighter green rit dye?

I didn't notice untill you said it but yes I think it is. This brings me to a question what color is it that is being used for the flesh tone?

My guess is something like tan or taupe.

Ion I did for myself yesterday.

Had a couple stupid bleeds along the edge. I really thought I had things sealed super well but I guess I need to stay further away from the sharp curve near the edge of the Ion

Just to be clear: The vinyl was still on.
But there was only a 1mm vinyl high barrier between success and disaster.
